Ok so Im having a really tough time deciding on a niche to promote and Im looking for a little advice. I dont expect anyone to give away their super secret money making niches or anything like that. Basically I have read that just pick something that is a hobby but I only like entertainment stuff like sports, gaming, movies, and tv shows lol. So Im not sure how I would go about monetizing my interests. I am actually interested in the make money online niche but I hear it is very competitive. Can a newbie like me make it in this niche? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Pick your favorite entertainment topic and start blogging about it. Build a community. It might be a fan site or a review site or gaming. It doesn't matter. Bring new and interesting perspectives to it. Make it interesting enough so people tell their friends about it. Make videos about it. Get other experts to guest blog about it on your site and then do the same for them. Build a community where you become one of the experts on the topic. Become one of the few go-to guys on the topic.

And if you don't feel like doing that for something you like. Do the exact same stuff for MMO. Only you won't get nearly as much satisfaction from it and you'll have a mountain of stuff to learn where you already have an excellent head start in entertainment. Good luck.

This is a business. You need to treat it as such. It's not your hobby. If you approach it as if it's your hobby, you will fail. Sorry for being so blunt. Now, pick a niche that people are spending money in. If you have a tough time deciding, go to Amazon.com and look at the best sellers. That should give you plenty of ideas. If you want something non-product related, go to Ezinearticles.com and look in the health and finance sections. There are lots of marketers out there writing articles and since they already did the research, why not take advantage of it Whatever you decide, give it your best shot before throwing up your hands and moving on to something else.

The mmo niche is definitely one of the hardest ones because of all the competition - I don't suggest doing that. What are you knowledgeable with? Computers? Sports? Do those.

Some of good evergreen niches that should work for you as a newbie:
      Relatioships, Dating, Forex, Betting, Surveys

My 1st successful niche was "get ex back". It converts well and I made lots my creating just YouTube videos and review sites. Try it.

there're literally too many ways of determining the niches. but basically you're looking for a potential market with lots of potential buyers. You can try looking at magazines, online forums, google trends, etc to get a hint or inspiration. Try to think out of the box

If this is the case then follow your passion and do not run after making money. Money will follow later when you enjoy doing it because of passion.

I'd avoid MMO due to the difficulty and you new approach, but just choose a Niche you are comfortable and interested in so you don't get burnt out later on.

you should really start on a topic you already know about.

Because you will get seriously road block when you have to actually write 350-500 word articles about it

    • To answer your question: You can make it in any niche you choose. Just know that it will require a LOT of work, regardless of what you choose. If you put in enough time and work using proven methods, you'll make it.

The vast majority of those who don't make it are the one's who don't put in the time required to succeed. Anyone believing that they can put in 1 or 2 hours and make a boatload of money is kidding themselves.

After you've put in work and have built your reputation and clientele, then yes, a simple email with an offer can net a huge profit. The key ingredients: "time, hard work, and dedication."

There are plenty of products related to sports on Clickbank and others that you could get behind and promote. Or if you have a passion in a particular sport, you could go the PLR or product creation route.

Choose a niche that you are highly passionate about. This way, you'll be more likely to stick it out when the going gets tough. Focusing on offering value in whichever niche you choose to pursue.

im going to go against the grain here, tons of advice to go with your passion, sounds good but did it answer your question ?

your passion should be your business, your going to need to research and read alot and figure out revenue streams - i might like guitars ( thats a market, not a niche ) - so now im looking at acoustic guitars ( thats more of a niche, but still broad ) - now im looking at martin guitars ( starting to narrow down my niche but chances are its saturated or the competition is to high ) - maybe a specific martic acoustic guitar, thats a niche !

your going to have to put the leg work in, check out google keywords in your market, see what people are looking for, look for buy words, like acoustic guitar, search again for acoustic guitars, look for buy words, maybe its martin, search again for martin acoustic guitars and check out the competition and see if its viable

I know this sounds so crazy. Find a niche that you enjoy. That way, even if you do not make a lot of money, you can stick to it over the years. It takes a long while to become a big name. OK so I started back in 1993 and that was almost twenty years ago. Finally now, I am having people call me up.

      This is so true.

People shouldn't think of it as a short term thing. Imagine what your business will be like in 10 years time.

I agree with most of the content above: Two things I would definitely consider.

    1. Do extensive keyword search
    2. Choose a niche you are passionate about

    Thien! Hey!

I've heard the same thing as you did about following a niche that is the same as your hobbies. Now, honestly there is nothing wrong with that , if there is a NEED in that particular market.

Here is what you have to focus on...

Look for niches that people are begging for help in. You stated that you are interested in, "entertainment stuff like sports, gaming, movies, and tv shows "

If you can identify a need in one of those markets then go for it. Either find a product you can promote as an affiliate or create a product yourself and sell it to them.

But if you can not identify a need in the markets that you have an interest in then you will most likely waste your time.
