I've done HostGator years ago, didn't like it. I'm with MediaTemple now @ $20 per signup + they pay $25/off my hosting bill, it's a nice setup.

Weedy, Hostgator pays $125 per sale if you get 21 or more per month, I am wondering though about mass promoting it, because I have heard they like to reverse fully legitimate sales because they say lead didn't stay past the 60 day mark, only for some affiliate's to later contact their sales, (the ones they could contact anyway) and find that they were indeed still with the company long past the 60 days. These findings were no later than 2010, couldn't find anything later than that, but $125 a pop is pretty solid.

Hostgator is my interest actually, but my fear is if I will ever get paid due to the kind of horror news I have heard/read about them. I have a pretty much system in place like that of ryan and much powerful.

Ryan, what year did you promote hostgator?

I made a few hundred dollars ($800 I think) a long time ago with Hostgator - but, I had to make people websites in exchange for them signing up to Hostgator through my affiliate link.

In the end, I made more money doing what I was doing before - so I stopped it.

    But, it does work.

I've never trusted these affiliate programs. I don't see how HostGator can pay me $125 for a customer that is paying them $60 a year or so....

I love HostGator's service....but I don't see the profit in that program for them unless the average hosting account stays open far longer than 2 years...and even then that's some definite loooooong term thinking....
