45,827 clicks to Amazon last month, but only 0.03% Conversion

Hey,

i've been earning on Amazon since a few months now using a simple method.
I'm automatically replying to people on twitter who showed a concrete interest in something (e.g. they're looking for a new book to read) with a tweet recommending them something on Amazon with my link. In my example this might simply be a good book.

It's a little spammy, I know - but I try to keep it as targeted as possible, answering only people who have true interest in what I send them.
I'm getting lots and lots of clicks and many people even thank me for my "recommendations" on twitter.

But: Although I get tons of clicks, my conversion rate sucks.Attachment 14665

To be clear: It's some nice pocket money, all automatic once set up - so I don't bother to much.

But do you have some ideas to improve conversions?
Do you find this method interesting?

Best
Moritz

It's extremely difficult to get twitter traffic to actually buy anything.

The problem is that 75% of twitter users will be on a mobile phone for most niches.

Also, note that twitter is a social platform so people are just there to hang out.

Twitter is full of click bots, and as someone else here said - twitter is not a place for buyers. Pinterest is supposed to be much better for finding buyers.

I think the thing to bear in mind here is that if someone tweets:

"Looking for good horror book to read..." - They may not be ready to buy...

That is why a targeted site with the top horror book reviews would work better and THEN send people to the site through Twitter as well.

Ouch really low, I'd say work on your traffic source, sure it can send visitors but at the end of the day you need converting visitors..

This is easy: I'm automatically sending answers to all people tweeting something that matches my search criteria.

Actually I don't believe I have a good chance of improving my conversion rate because as some of you said: Twitter just isn't good buyer traffic obviously.

What I might do is just scale it to more products I'm recommending, as this is done quite fast and will get me results for a looong time, - think that all adds up.

I'm just wondering whether Twitter will close my account if I'm sending out several thousand tweets a day...

    hello,

It's known that twitter traffic do not convert as much as other traffic source It's why I think twitter owner haven't yet found a way to monetize traffic like FB for exxample
If I were you, since you automate everything, just scale that for example if you earning $100 a day and want $300 do the same thing 3 times and that its.

    Hope that help

I fully agree with Thomas W.

Twitter is full of bots. At least it is converting to some extent proving they are not all bots.
