How a blog comment can bring targeted unique visitor?

Most of us think that blog commenting is a very low category way to get targeted traffic. It is because we normally hire a guy with very little salary and ask them to comment. They normally write....

It is good post
I like this post
Very good post and I like it
and so one..

You see those comments looks spammy. You will not get good traffic from those type of comments. First you have to admit people who read comments are willing to learn more that is why they are reading comment so that they can learn something more from comments. It is the truth. If you can offer them some more information only they your comment will work as a real source of traffic. So you can take advantages of providing some more information to the readers to write around 2-3 paragraphs by either describing something in the article orcontributing something completely different than that of the article. If you do not have enough knowledge about your niche you should study before a wise commenting.

You have to admit it that your comment can act as a pre-sell letter that can increase your sell. This is the most important part that not to be spammy. If your comment is well enough to attract the readers attention and informative the readers are more likely to click your link and will sign up in to your auto responder.
I usually end my comment like this.

( nick name ) www(dot)mydomainname(dot)com

If you can follow this then a few commenting will do than that of doing thousand of spammy comments.

Hope this helps.

Commenting on other blogs in my niche (and even some other niches) has brought me over 100 visitors per month, just by adding value to the conversation much like we do here.

It's a stupid simple strategy that works, but there are better places to spend your time that will convert to subscribers and sales quicker.

Out of those 100 visitors, maybe 10 subscribed. 100 visitors from here would bring me almost 35 subscribers. It's a big difference.

    Thanks for the valuable post!

That is right. Too much efforts and too little rewards. Making meaningful commesnts good enough to get the attention of visitors takes time, not wasy as copy pasting a 'good info, thank you' comment.

I always love to know something new. I see people under this tread is just leaving message like.... It is had, it is stupid....There is something better....

But that was not the fact...fact is, people are not contributing, just leaving their emotions.... I noticed few posts that attract me here those who tried to give some example and make me to visit their profile. it is the magic of comment. You contribute you get result. So random comment within a few word will not work... You have to spend some time and then you will get result.

My thread is not meant to show you how useful it is, rather than it shows you that random commenting or buying 10000s comments is not as effective as a good comment...

    Hope it makes sense...

Exactly, which is why I agree with you. I also expanded on that sharing how valuable comments (instead of spammy ones) has brought me visitors and subscribers.

I was also just sharing how other similar techniques like posting in forums have been more helpful to me.

Actually recently I got a mail and they were offering 1000 forum comments with my website link for $40... I was not sure about the quality of the comments so I just denied. But most of the newbie will accept their offer as they almost convinced me with their email So I opened this thread so that people knows why they should write one comment rather than buying 100 comments or buy 100 comments....

      Anyway thanks for your reply....

    Excellent tips.

Yes, if you add real value to the blog post, then you can get some nice, targetted traffic to your page as well.

Always remember that there are humans on the other side of the screen and you should write for them, not for the search engine bots.

As a commenter, you generally want to be positive, but not sappy. You want to come across as knowledgeable and friendly. Do this and you will stand apart from the "great article" spammers.

If you keep this mindset, you should be able to bring visitors into your blog. What's more, they will already have a positive opinion of you, so you can expect a higher conversion rate from these visitors.

Firstly, all blog comments are not same. Some can bring you lots of traffic while others will not bring you any. In order to get traffic to need to find good high traffic blogs, when they post a new post, write a good valuable comment below it. Do it on few blogs everyday. You can get good amount of visitors. I had a comment on a very famous blog that bought me around 400 visitors in 5 days.

A good commenter will seek for the most appropriate and similar blogs with your niche and he will comment so that you will receive only targeted visitors.

Blog commenting is really very useful for bringing visitors to your site/blog. But it does not end there. You should have a high converting page on your site to convert the new visitors. Because 100 new visitors to your site does not mean anything if they don't convert.

To “do it right”, the following basic commenting ethics should be followed.
    • Read the blog post first before commenting

    • Be loyal

    • Not to be predetermined

    • Don’t leave comments for the sake of doing it, leave valuable comments – not just say “great post” or “I liked the post”

    • Put your real name, not keywords or fake names

    • Don’t put any links on comment section; there is another place to put your website address.

    • Have an Gravatar- People who have Gravatar on their posts seem loyal than people who don’t have an Gravatar moreover they tend to arouse suspicion.

    • Stay on topic without beating around the bush

How many comments do you do in a day / week?

Also, what is your comment rejection rate?

I am no novelist, but I consider myself to be a decent writer. I always leave relevant comments, and add to the conversation. At least I feel I do...

At any rate, lately it seems like a third or more are outright rejected, for no apparent reason.

I have an EMD (or rather, a slightly altered one) and I'm wondering if that is contributing to my comments being rejected. It's a fairly long domain for a review site, so I'm thinking people see that first and hit reject without even reading the comment.

In a few cases they simply strip the url but post the comment (which is better, because at least then my words and effort might actually be useful to someone else).

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any ideas other than changing my domain name (which obviously I'm not doing..)

    Want to see something interesting?

Pick any person posting in any thread and click on their name on the left of the post.

When the menu comes up, click "Find all threads by" in that list.

LOOKS A LOT LIKE A BLOG, DOESN'T IT?

    Hmmm

That doesn't work anymore, Caliban. If you search through the threads a person has started, it redirects to a search of all posts made.

Of course, if you're a War Room member, you have access to a real blog. And you can link to blog posts you make in your signature. So...*shrugs*

I'd also like to add that making high quality blog comments can open up doors for other traffic avenues, such as guest posting (if the blog owner likes your comments), and networking with other readers of that blog. Powerful stuff when done right.

Funnily enough, it can work even better on a forum.

    Hi,

I was quite busy with my jobs and I came here again after around 1 month here. I got message when someone post comment under my thread but I did not get chance to leave a reply. We always share our best here in WF, that is why I love to visit this forum. Actually when you will leave a comment under a post of thread, whether it is a forum or blog, whether is is similar to your niche or not, you will get some feedback.... You comment can approved or rejected. It depends on the weight of the comment. If it is good, you can expect something. If your comment is something like "I have got very good info from your blog, I will certainly visit here again" you comment have chance to be approved. But it does not mean anything if you want traffic. If you want traffic you have to work hard. People like me can make such a comment ( targeted comment ) once or twice a month as it needs time. It is not like expressing your emotion within one or two words. It is like writing a article.

    Best of luck
    Sabbir
