I want to be able to do a search for these type of photos only or if you know of site that specializes in these?

The name of these type of photos is "Illustration".You can search these type of photos on google.Just include the keyword "Illustration" with your main keyword when you search it.
For example If you are searching for an illustration photo of a lion then go to google then type the keyword"lion illustration" in the search box.I hope you got the point.

They're vector illustrations. Vector ones are great because you can resize them and it'll look good, unlike bitmap images they won't become pixelated when you zoom in.

I normally only buy vector graphics in the photo sites. I do the search like this:

Click on Illustrations so you don't get photos included
keyword vector in the search form and that's it. Get exactly what I want

If you are trying to find the technical term for such kind of picture, I believe you overlooked that part that says 'Download this Illustration.' You can filter photo types in iStockPhoto when you search.
