I have MemoriesOnWeb. It's free and lets you make a slideshow video of any length. It's very easy to use and you can add audio and pan/zoom/rotate/flip/speed/slow text and images. I really like it.

Hi Cee - MemoriesOnWeb has its own website? I can't seem to find where it can be downloaded directly from its website.

Try this link. I didn't download it from here but it should work. If not just do a Google search. There's a number of websites that let you download this software.

When not outsourcing I use Proshow Web and it keeps most clients happy. Honesty I wouldn't use it for affiliate sales or my own promotions. For that you need to be real. Just talk about what you are promoting like you are a regular guy who has benefited in some way. Some of my biggest money making videos are the most amateur looking.

But many clients like the special effects so I sell it to them.

You can always use a graphics program such as Photoshop or Gimp to create jpg "text" slides, then load them into a slideshow maker.

I like the free slideshow program DVD Slideshow GIU:

Windows 7 has Windows Movie Maker. I think that it is actually fairly powerful for being free with Windows.

There are tons of softwares to do this. Perfect one that's enough.
Windows movie maker is enough for me, sometimes Animoto or I have Magix Max Pro 3D (I used it for making short films), I like it though.

I use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and AfterEffects. They will be too advanced for many but the videos are polished. Whatever you do, avoid those Animoto ones, they are cringeworthy.
