finding affiliates for your product/ebook

I was interested how some of you guys find affiliates for your products. I'm on the verge of releasing a product and I'm going to focus on networking with blogs/sites/twitter account owners/etc online that have regular face time with my niche. I read somewhere that it's a good idea to do a search for your niche and look up websites using adsense that may also be getting a good amount of traffic, but not of lot of adsense click. I was told these people make good affiliates or sites getting traffic but not really trying to make money. What do you guys do?

Would suggest you get some data around how your offer, product, sales pages and upsells etc convert before you focus too much on trying to recruit affiliates. Once you have that data, suggest you tweak, improve then go get affiliates with some data and a small track record behind you. Otherwise why should they trust your product will sell?

Good Point. Have a few ideas for upsells to add. Can't wait to get it out there, but when I do I'll make sure to have a good track record which would bring them which makes so much sense. Thanks mrmarketer1

The best way to initially get a lot of affiliates is by listing your product somewhere in a major affiliate portal like Share a Sale or ClickBank. Those communities are loaded with hungry affiliate marketers that are watching for new products to be added that they can promote.
