Did anyone experience this with word press and ucontext.com

Not too long ago I installed a plugin from ucontext.com that usually help with inserting clickbank affiliate links into articles, and now it looks like that thing took over my pc as every site I go to now shows links powered by text-enhanced(not related to clickbank or any of my sites) in the content displayed. Did any one on here have a similar experience and if yes what can be done to rectify that. Thanks in advance.
Correction:
I just found out that those links are not related to ucontext.com, but text-enhance.com
I tried unsuccessfully to opt out of showing those text links. Does any one know what to do??

I'm pretty sure this is coincidence. Its simply possible that text-enhance.com is becoming popular on the websites you frequent. But, there are also many other services such as Kontera and Info Links that do similar things, along with uContext.com

The only way for a service to seem like they have "taken over your pc" and show links on every site you visit is to install a browser plugin or virus. I can assure you that uContext.com is nothing more than a Wordpress plugin and cannot do anything like that. I know because I'm the software engineer and owner of uContext.com

You may not be able to opt-out of those links. If they are generated with javascript you can turn off javascript through your browser settings. But, you might as well quit using the Internet if you do that since javascript is fast becoming a necessary component of web page development. If they're not using javascript, like uContext, then those links are being created on the server side and being delivered in the HTML which means you can't do anything about it.

      hi gary,

is your plugin still available? if yes, have there been any updates or improvements made to the way it operates compared to other text link providers?

im looking for something like your plugin, something easy to use which works as described without the need to 'qualify' for use like other third party suppliers insist on.

      thanks is advance

    Roger,

Yes, the plugin is still available. You can try the free version from the Wordpress plugin directory. Or, just search for "ucontext" in your admin's plugin area. The premium version adds some nice features.

Not sure what improvements you might be looking for? FYI, I'm a week, if not days, away from releasing a similar plugin that does in-text affiliate links for Amazon.
