How to sell Banner Ads in my Blog?

Hi,
Will I just put "Put your ads here" in the space or there are some other things to do as well.

Does Google sees it in a +ve way?

Sorry for such a dumb question but I don't know much about the procedure..

    You will write "place your ads here" in the ads space. You can sell your ad space via buysellads.com or you can simple tell your audience to contact you if they need to place their ads.

    Ads are for earning money and Google don't give much importance to this thing. I meant ads have least effect on a website's rank.

    However, you can also place affiliate links instead of selling ad space. This can be much more profitable.

    You can sell through marketplace in forums too, if you are rotating the ads or banners, you have to get a rotation script first, and also decide which form of payments you are accepting and how long the duration and the price.
