Flippa buyer DON'T want to pay, what should I do?

Hello everyone,

Please suggest me, what should I do if flippa buyer (winning bidder) don't want to pay me (seller) with unbelievable reason: suddenly need money to pay medical bill.

This is my second auction at flippa, the first was going smoothly, transfer process fast and we give positive feedback each other. But, my second auction goes wrong. I have sent a question to flippa support 4 times but they don't answer until now.

I have spent money to designer, fiverr gigs and do various backlinks to promote my auction and now, the buyer just drop it.

Please suggest me, what should I do?

Thank you

bluecoyotemedia - I'm not whinning, and you are right, I'm just newbie who still learn how to engage ecommerce business well.

You said: "just learn the experience and move o"
which means I should let it go and not do anything?

I heard seller can re-list the auction if buyer don't pay. How is the process?
Is there anyone have same experience like me?

Do the dispute thing through Flippa. Then you can relist it for free and the "buyer" will be banned. Forget about that buyer, but do dispute the transaction to get the free relisting. You could also contact the second highest bidder and see if they want it.

Ignore the ill-advised advice below. It solves nothing

Yes, I will dispute it to get free re-listing as you and Aussie suggestion. I will search the button.
And you just enlighten me with your instruction to contact second highest bidder. I will do it. Thank you very much.

Hmmm. I assumed you could click on the bid he put in and get a contact icon. I've heard the advice to contact the next bidder down, so maybe it's a glitch.

Ouw, now I know why it's not working. That's too bad, I think Flippa need to activate the function again.

You could try to have the buyer banned with bad feeback. You could sue the buyer. Or you could just relist and move on.

I wouldn't say a sudden medical bill is "unbelievable."

Things happen. And when things happen you sometimes need to prioritize. Such as, I need this money right now for a doctor so my child doesn't lose her eyesight, and I'll just have to deal with the fallout from backing out of a domain purchase later.

If you were in the same position that's what you would do. That's what any sane person would do.

Thank you for your suggestion. I think I will relist it and move on, I just want to focus on my goal, there is no need to sue anyone.
And you are right, medical bill is NOT unbelievable reason to cancel an auction. Things happen, someone must prioritize what he think the most important, first thing first. I guess, I was very upset.

  • Hey bluecoyotemedia how about you quit with the sarcastic bitterness you're spreading around. Like others have said if you file a dispute Flippa will allow you to relist free, it normally takes 72 hours for the dispute to be settled but it's better then nothing. Next time be sure to speak with bidders to get a sense of their trustworthiness, sometimes you still will have those that will bid with no intention of purchasing but most times contact with them will scare those scammers away.

      That's really GREAT advise!

I learn from my mistake and yes, every seller should communicate with their bidders before the auction end, especially if they are "NEW". Not just blindly accept all bidders to increase the price

Hi Dazzvision -- if you send me a PM with your auction link, I can fast-track the dispute.

The posts upthread are correct, if you dispute the sale, we'll give you a free re-list and cancel the success fee invoice.

If you cannot stumach answering questions in a forum geared for that and for newbies wanting help from experienced people why are you even here? Makes me laugh that so much rudeness comes BEHIND a computer.
