That is a very general question that will not get many replies. What types of things do you want to outsource? The answer will depend on what you want to outsource and what you are trying to accomplish.

It depends what you are outsourcing and the budget.

For simple graphics like ebook covers, promo videos, etc I'll outsource to Fiverr. cheap, fast.

For bigger projects such as content writing, sales letters, etc - try oDesk, iWriter, Freelancer, etc.

If you are looking for long term projects to outsource I would suggest getting referrals from other marketers who are outsourcing specific tasks and then hiring someone (like a VA) you can build a relationship with as you build your biz.

I generally do a lot of my outsourcing to odesk.com

I've had designers, editors, writers and I'm currently hiring a guy to put my ebook into kindle format.

Odesk is pretty good and has a nice interface to help me manage my workers. Although - my suggestion would be to approach outsourcing with a long term mindset and look to build a team around you instead of casual contractors. A little difficult to do if you're just starting out but as your business grows a solid team becomes more and more important.

This is true. There are some that write for 50 cents for 100 words and LOWER. Make sure to filter contractors for quality and reliability though. But at those rates, its worth the effort to filter providers.

Fiverr for sure. I like that there are a lot of people on there who will do videos for you. Plus, I like being able to choose the service I want and know how much I'll pay rather than paying hourly for someone, not knowing how much time they'll take up.

Like many others, I'm a fan of Odesk. I mainly hire writers there. I also hire Warriors (check the classifieds section) if I run across something/someone that sparks my interest. The good thing about both of these sites is that you can check their feedback and reputation before making any decisions.

No matter where you hire, make sure you give them a small job first. A small job will allow you to evaluate their skills before committing to larger projects and larger payouts.

I've had really good luck with Odesk- but with any site that you use, you'll have to "interview" a few people before you find a good freelancer.

  • It depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a full time employee or virtual assistant, I'd recommend onlinejobs.ph. They have an interface there that allows you to search for employees with multiple skills. The best jobseekers are also tested for their English skills, work skills, IQ and DISC profiles.

odesk.com is always the best but the rate pretty high there. odesk.com have their own tracking system if you hire per hour. You can also pay for one time project.
Some alternative method you can also try to try some services on fiverr, you will find that some seller really a top notch service provider. Since you meet in fiverr the rate also more reasonable.

    Hey Harith!
I would highly recommend you check out Freelancer.com - Hire Freelancers & Find Freelance Jobs Online
They do just about everything, for a VERY reasonable price!
Before I got into web design I used Freelance very frequently, and they offer some quality work, and people offer you a price and how long it would take them, and then you can decide who to hire based on their previous ratings.
It's been a while since I used Freelance, but the help I got was great value, and high quality. I now make over $450 a day through my online techniques
I wish you all the best with your online success!

I notice a lot of people are using workers from the Philippines. This is
a great place to find people to work for you; but you must be careful
about this. Research how these workers respond to your tasks and make sure
you don't trigger any cultural bombs. I work with a company that
provides outsourcing personnel from there. So far so good. with our
    workers.
You can save yourself about two months of work and pay outsource workers
$3,000-$4000/yr. less, get better productivity and have them happier, IF you
know what you are doing. Otherwise it can cost $3,000 and have a total
    loss, not counting your time.

    Hi,

I can recommend a very good outsourcing service provider called VirtualEmployee.com. They are cost-effective and very professional. It seems like you are outsourcing but it isn't really because they provide you with your own dedicated virtual employees from any field or profession. I needed a data entry expert and a graphic designer and within a week or so, they had sent me resumes, arranged face-to-face interviews via video conferencing and only after I was satisfied with the candidates did I hire them. The biggest advantage with this company is that you retain complete control over your remote employee and work. And time zone didn't make a difference at all because my employees were happy to work my shift hours. I would say that it's a great alternative to hiring locally.

I've used several, depending on the kind of work I needed done. I use WF for some writing work as I personally like native English writers especially for ebooks and whitepaper projects. For general outsourcing work I use Odesk and Elance. But sometimes I use my friends' referrals. That way I'll know I will get reliable help.

Outsourcing has benefited our business and ultimately our lifestyle in so many amazing ways.

oDesk gets the #1 spot in our book... currently used for graphics, developers, server admin, virtual assistant tasks and more... oDesk truly works for us.

We have also hired many Warriors over the years and use fiverr from time to time, too.

Remember.... when you find a great teammate, keep them busy or they'll go find work elsewhere... These teammates can do wonders working in your business while you work on your business.
