What has been you're experience as far as conversions go?
I have tested both and got the slightly better results with video.
So I recently started to deliver my Pre-sell content in a Video Presentation format.

Using Video Presentations, you're audience gets to see & read the word,
Which is scientifically proven very powerful psychologically.

You're thoughts? You're experience?

  • Video may have certain advantages, but one great thing about text is that anyone can use it to create the same effect. Not everyone is able to have the presence and personality necessary for creating compelling videos.

I can't write very good articles but I can make decent videos. I think videos are the one for me.

"The videos has high perceive value" by Frank Kern

People are lazy. They do not like read a lot. They love to watching video. In the U.S. it is still the most leisure activity - 45% of population.

    Hopefully it was helpful.

I'm just saying this because I offer a video service, but video sales letters are much more powerful than plain text sales letters.

With text it's hard to convey emotions from the very get go but with a video sales letter you can connect instantly with a visitor.

Both... I've done a lot of hybrid pages that have a vid on top and text below. What I like best though is using a video only page and if they try to click away it goes to a text only page.

This way you cover both bases, some like to watch... others like me would prefer to read.

I suggest you to use videos as it's give more value to your product ,but always give your buyer the choice to download PDF version as not all people have a good internet connection.

I like a good quality video but what Ive been seeing a lot of lately is very long videos like 20 minutes and they expect you to watch the whole thing before you can do anything. That crap just automatically turns me off, its very frustrating to me.

I say short video presentation followed by text below.

Although I use text more often than video, I think using both together (when possible) is the way to go since each prospect/visitor is different. This takes care of:

1.) People who have outdated flash players, configuration problems and other technical issues that interfere with or prohibit video playback on their computers

2.) People who would rather read than watch a video (for instance, me )

3.) People with Internet connection reliability problems and slow connections

4.) People who have problems seeing, reading or comprehending written text

5.) People who'd rather "see" a live person than just reading text and seeing pictures

That being said, it's time for me to start creating some videos!

I have made both review sites and video reviews and videos covert much better for me. sprlck9 is totally correct. You need to make short interesting videos. 1-2 min is enough. Youtube people usually have short attention span so you need to appeal to them.
And they convert much better than those long videos.
