Promoting your business through marketing contests

A very good way to promote your business and fidelize your clients or prospects is to build and organize contests.
For example you ask users to participate to your contest and recommend their friends to participate too in order to have a chance to win a prize (t-shirt, ipad, etc.)
In order to organize such contest you have 2 options:
1. build it yourself - which might be complex in case you dont have web development knowledge or a good webmaster
2. Use a SaaS application, like buildcontest.com
Usually option #2 works the best as you dont need to worry about hosting, development or security. You just configure it, run it and send the prizes'to the winners. In parallel monitor your site sales or visitors and congratulate yourself for the traffic (sales) increase.
