How best should one approach this?

I am planning a web-based business and I intend to sell it in the near future, how best should I go about this, are there particular steps (at the planning stage) to take, for example, is it better to use my name for the website or a more general/formal name? What other issues are important at this stage?

Hi Michael, there are a few steps to kick off your e-business campaign.

    1. Find a hot, hungry niche
    2. Get a trusted Webhost (I personally use HostGator)
    3. Install Wordpress on your Website
    4. Submit 10 quality articles on your niche *(Using a good headline intrigues more people)*
    5. Start Building Back-Links

Back-Links are the key to a successful website after the recent Penguin update earlier last year. The more back-links, the better your traffic to your site. After all, you want people to read your articles otherwise your website will be a failure. More traffic = More $$$

Here are a few Back-Linking strategies:

    1. Content Syndication
    2. Blog Commenting
    3. Sponsoring WordPress Themes
    4. Article Directories
    5. SEO
    6. Video Marketing
    7. Forum Marketing
    8. Web 2.0
    9. Ego-Bait
    10. Interviews
    11. Social Networking
    12. Fiverr Gigs
    13. Google PPC

I recommend using all of these strategies with diversity, diversification will benefit to your website in the long-term when Google actually indexes your site and notices that your site has many back-links from different strategies so that your Search Engine traffic will increase as well.

I've written massive guides on Back-Linking and Free Traffic Systems, you might want to check it out for a more in-depth explanation on the topic.

Once you have gotten a decent amount of traffic to your site, you would want to sign up for affiliate programmes on ClickBank, and start promoting products to your readers. Whenever a reader buys a product, you can get a commission of as high as 75% from every sale whenever someone clicks on the hyper-link on your site.

Signing up for Google Adsense is also a pretty good option for making some money from traffic. Google could place some advertisements on your site and they actually pay you for it whenever someone clicks on them!

I hope this helped you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll be more than happy to answer your questions. It'll be awesome if you give me a "Thanks" on my post. It will really help to build my reputation in Warrior Forum.

Being that you might not want to spend that much time on writing all those articles for a website that you will be selling in the future you can always find others to write those articles for you. A simple copy and paste will work then!

When trying to "Flip" a site, it's important to have some SEO behind it. Everything you add to the site creates value and makes the site worth more.

You'll find that the more content and the more traffic your pulling, will really get some high paying clients that are willing to buy the site in a matter of minutes from you.

If you can't seem to find clients that are willing to pay your price for it, or just can't seem to find buyers go ahead and start networking with others who have sold sites before.

Get with the experienced because it will work out better to learn from them in the long run. Remember that information is the most valuable thing you can have!

By learning from others who are doing this to make a living, it will help you find the "Sweet spots" in flipping websites!

Good luck with your website! We believe in you and support you!
