Video Problem help! I think I just wasted 3 days of my life!

I edited videos in sony vegas with voice over and intro and stuff. 70 of them! When I uploaded them to youtube and watch them on my computer it shows the intro and stuff but has the black bars on the side when it goes to the video. Some of the intro writing goes where the black bars appear when the video starts. But when I web optimize it with handbrake it takes out the black bars but also takes out the left and right sides of the intro. In other words can I make a video look exactly the same coming out of handbrake that it went in? I need to have the black bars on the video because if it cuts them out my intro is cut out too! Why did they come out of sony vegas with bars? Then why did they come out of handbrake without them? How would I fix this in the future? Help!!!

    Why are you using handbrake at all? In Sony Vegas just select the export button and select the way you want your project compressed and exported. There should be several options to choose from with youtube being one of them I believe. That's how I did it in vegas when I used it and that's how I do it Adobe Premier now.

      Dont you have to use it if you are web optimizing videos to play with S3 and Eazy video player?
