Hey guys,

I want to try out Clickbank, should I sign up for Promoting Products or Selling Products? Basically I guess I just want to setup some kind of site or blog and do one of the 2, what route do people involved in CB usually take? any advise, answers or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Do you have your own product to promote ?

If not, pick a product you think you could succesfully promote and earn some commission off of

Sign up for ClickBank, it's free. Your best place to start after that is searching the ClickBank "Marketplace", and finding a product that's in a niche you're passionate about.

So for example, if you're interested in building rabbit hutches, then find a product on ClickBank on how to build rabbit hutches. There are usually several offers, so what you should do is look through all of the best ones, find the ones you like most with sales pages that seem the best to you, then on the ClickBank page there's a green button that says "Promote" - This will give you an affiliate hoplink.

When you post your hoplink onto your website and people click through it, if they decide to buy whatever product you're promoting, then that's how you'll get commissions. Do NOT forget to include your affiliate hoplink when you're promoting something. That's the only way that ClickBank knows to pay you!

As for websites. You should set up a blog revolving around whatever product or products you're promoting. So if you're promoting guides on how to build rabbit hutches and how to breed rabbits, then create a blog with WordPress, and make a post on that blog every single day. Do this until you have 7 to 10 blog posts at least.

Those are the very, VERY basics. If you're interested in more, there are more detailed guides on this forum, and there's also some products that are very good in helping you with this exact process.

    I hope that helps.

I saw that the other members have already given you good advice
I just wanted to add one last thing, in your blog or on your squeeze page always give your users the ability to enter their name and their email address and try to offer something for free in return, this will create a relationship of mutual trust between you and your buyers

Another suggestion don't put any attention to the gravity factor you can find a lot of information on the net that will tell you promote only high gravity products.

High gravity just mean more affiliate promoting the product, promote a product that you believe in.

If you're just starting out you more than likely want to sell other people's products as an affiliate so you can a feel for how things work.

As regards to choosing a product you want learn about what makes a product sell i.e sales copy whether its compelling or not, whether or not the product your promoting solves a big problems for your prospect.

There are some of the things you need to research before you start promoting a product.

When picking something to promote don't promote an offer that collects emails on the sales page. Once the visitors get on their list, most of the time you can say good bye to your commission becuse you'll never see it.
