How many copies of your WSO did you sell ?

Just wondering - how many copies of your first WSO did you sell ?
What was the biggest part of your success - own list , affiliates or maybe sales copy ?

    People have sold as many as 0 and 10,000 and anywhere in between.

    The real question you have however is, "how many wso's will you sell?"

    And no one can answer that question for you... There are just too many factors to take into consideration, including:

    * your product creation abilities;
    * the value you are giving to your customers;
    * your ability to attract affiliates and convince them to promote for you;
    * your ability to write effective sales copy;
    * your ability to manage a sales thread;
    * your ability to promote outside of the wso sub-forum.

    If you are trying to figure out if you can make your investment back, well, the answer depends on what you bring to the process...

    There are only a few guarantees that you can be given:

    * death
    * taxes
    * failure if you never take a chance on success

      My first WSO? I sold 1 copy. I had no idea what I was doing and did about as much wrong as I possibly could.

      My second one? I don't remember exactly, but it was picked as WSO of the Day and sold a bunch.

      The biggest difference was learning a bit about how to create a more effective WSO, which I learned from this WSO:

      In fact, I see my testimonial is at the top of the listing :p

      It's a couple of years old now and frankly, I don't remember exactly what was in it, but learning from someone with more experience than I had made a world of difference.

    No it's a good question. Fact some people make good money on WSO's - however way more people make next to nothing on WSO's - I'm was in a number of WSO mastermind groups and they were all full of wannabe's being taken for rides and losing lots of money through bad WSO releases.

    It's partly why Paypal had such a big hump with WSO's - far too much crap on there that has made people weary to part with their cash. A number of years ago, you could put out a good WSO and you'd be rich - does not happen to often anymore.

    It's also a self perpetuating cycle which hurts itself..... to make good money you need to have affiliates. In order to have affiliates on board you need to have a few products under your belt, and in order to get those products under your belt - you are going to have to think of a number of products - meaning they are often low quality and pushed out quickly...

    WSO's in itself I believe were designed to be a special offer of a product you already successfully sell elsewhere. Unfortunately that is no longer the case, and most people will sell very few WSO's if any at all - unless you get lucky with affiliates, WSO of the day or because you are already well established online (the latter fully deserve their success in WSO's).

    Rant over...
