What is your best marketing strategy ?

what is your best marketing strategy that got your product a lot of exposure with minimal money investment.

Ours was selling a digital product using special coupons that we have created.
The coupons was offered as a deal on AppSumo

We got about 4,000 visits and almost 200 sales (194 precisely).

The regular price was 97$ we offered the product at 29$

It took us 2 hours to create the coupons (using a php script), we got $5926 in sales, almost pure profit (7 days).

We have tried the same tactics with another product and it didn't went as well as the first one.

I guess some products sell more on deals websites than others.

What is your best marketing strategy?

    JV with people who have large targeted lists.

    If you get someone with a solid 100k list to blast it and give them 80%, you'd make 20x what you made in the same amount of time.

      That's a rather interesting thought. How would you go about finding the person with the list in the first place?

    There is no best marketing strategy which is suitable with all people. Everyone has their own strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat.

    Well, I think the best marketing strategy is making other people want to talk about your product to his friends, family, colleague, etc without being paid at all !!!

    If I have a spare time, I will make a thread discussing about this topic.

    Find a way to get email addresses from the visitors to your page. Those are going to be your buyers that you need to keep and re-engage.

    Providing discount within the regular price does effect in sale but not in every products. What I have seen that things like information, software etc type of product's sale increases after offering a discount. In other products it may not effect so much.

    Personally, I work with a small amount of clients... the most important thing, is being genuine and honest so you can build TRUST.

    Now I probably hate getting a business text message as bad as the next person, but a text message has close to a 100% open rate whereas an email has about a 10-20% chance of being opened.

    Translation: start getting phone numbers as well and blast your numbers (no more than once a week). Just listened to a top earner in our affiliate company present on this and it was powerful stuff. He was getting more sales from text message marketing than email marketing.
