Need Proven Easy System to Promote to my list

24 replies
I realize I will get tons of product recommendations by posting this thread, but I really am hoping to be able to promote something truly of value. I have an email list that I have compiled via Free Credit Score Offer promotion, and I would like to offer them followup offers that you think might be appropriate. My first goal is to offer them a REAL EASY online money making system that truly is proven to work. I have a website too, so I would be promoting this on my website as a "way out" of the rat race, but I am not trying to come off as a typcial IM'ing landing page with promises that will never be fulfiilled. I intend to deliver real proven systems, so if you have any, please let me know whats out there that is geared towards people that perhaps have not even HEARD of the concept of internet marketing...however may be able to make a bit of income with my suggested program with zero experience.

    why do you want to promote money making products when you built your list around credit scores?

    there are lots of ways to build your email list but first you need to make sure that what ever you promote to your list is highly relevant to the information that they signed up to get in the first place

    Hi

    This sounds to me the people who signed up for Free Credit Score Offer, are looking to get out of debt or improve the credit record.

    I would recommended the following, some ideas to play around with:

    1. ask the list why they signed up in the first place, this will give you data to create a product for them..

    2. start a webinar , about saving money, or debt advice, do a interview with a person in that field

    3. start a blog, and have articles about the niche, then setup cpa offers

    Hope it helps as a start

    No such system exists. Until you realise this - stay away from internet marketing.

      Take this advice! its the best you're gonna get!!

      Why on earth would you promote IM products to people who signed up for a credit score service? these people signed up because they are looking to borrow money, meaning they are very unlikely to have a few 100 dollars to spend on a marketing system, and if you think you will get any real value for less than that then you have a fair bit to learn!

      All those poor people in debt who signed up to you are gonna be put more in debt by you! not the most ethical business plan in the world!!!

      why not just build a list of people who sign up to an IM product? conversions will be much better!!

        Well jeez, in all honesty I felt somewhat bad for all the people who might be in debt and in need of some way out. Just thinking of a new angle. If there's no real way to make money online without investing a few hundred dollars, well...then Im reading lots of BS all over this forum I guess, and yeah I may need to learn something....so thats my answer to my question. I dont plan on putting anyone in debt, not sure what kind of guru systems you're promoting, but I figured out of the hundreds of "little to no capital needed" programs I see in the forum......my God, they couldnt all be a scam.....or could they?

    The best is advice is ask people what they want? Maybe email them with a poll or something and see what they opt for. This way you'll providing your list exactly what they want. And your list will love you for doing this.

    yeah I agree..if your list is based on fixing credit scores....then sending them make money promos will fall flat on its face.

    You could create an ebook on how to fix their credit and the 10 most important things one can do to fix their credit....along those lines.

    ...I think you will be much more successful.

    That part sounds a good idea.

    But it has nothing to do with promoting "an online money making system".

    I suggest that if you do that, not only will you probably not make any sales, but you'll destroy the value of the list, too, and your subsequent open-rate for anything else you might try in future won't be worth talking about.

    You've been a member here since 2009. Surely you should know a "REAL EASY" system by now (if that's what you think exists). How do YOU make money. I presume it's the "REAL EASY" way, so why not tell your list how YOU do it.

    Or are you one of those people who persists in doing it the difficult way?

    Thanks for all the info here folks.. I guess I struck a nerve with a few people...honestly I was trying to utilize this list instead of letting it go to waste.....email marketing is not my thing and I just recently started capturing so I thought to get into email marketing here for the first time and I truly wanted to just bring something of value to a growing list .... OTHERX you gave me a good plan of action, which I will look into...much appreciated. My intentions are certainly not to put people in debt or steer someone the wrong way. I really wanted to think outside the box while giving people some hope for making money... I realize now that this may not be related to my list at all..thanks for the input. Just an FYI...BROKE people are NOT the only ones looking to check their credit ....dont forget that people who are actually concerned to see if they qualify are looking to get a new car, or new house, or start a business, etc....and yes there are people who are in a bad position as well...but certainly not the majority.

    As for me, I do paid traffic, and its been a 3 year learning curve which is why I would never try to push this method to total newbies. I never looked for the "easy" way when I started, I went after the paid traffic so I guess I assumed doing SEO/article writing would be a good way for people to start and I was looking for a very newb friendly system that was inexpensive, or a monthly subscription that can be easily managed or perhaps to even hand out a free report in order to bring value. Cheers.

    We are entrepreneurs. We are looking to build businesses. Many folks were hurting for money before they started their businesses, and many had bad credit before they started.

    That does not mean that you should sell biz opp to people with bad credit.

    Most people with bad credit simply want to improve their credit, so they can buy stuff on credit.

    It takes a special sort to want to start a business. I come from a family that has lots of people who have bad credit. But I am the only one in my family who has started a business.

    I also know dozens of other people locally who think that I am nuts to start a business. I have one person in my life who calls me about once a month to tell me about a new job they found open, to let me know that I should go get that job.

    If I look at myself among the people I know in my family and in my local community, I would be the only person in nearly 100 people who believes that self-employment is the way to go.

    Everyone else just wants a job and to be able to buy a car or house when they want to buy one. They need jobs and a good credit score.

    I am 1% of the marketplace I know offline. The other 99% don't want to hear about a "proven system for making money".

        LOL

        It is nothing personal...

        People who want their free credit score want to clean up their credit so that they can buy a TV, a car or a house.

        They may also be interested in learning how to better budget their limited funds.

        It should be clear what you should be promoting to them:

        * Budgeting help information;
        * Cleaning up credit reports;
        * Improving credit reports;
        * Credit cleanup services;
        * etc.

          The good news here is you're following rule #1, which is build a list. Even
          better, you got paid to build a list. Kudos for that. Make sure you follow
          part two of that rule and build a relationship with your list.

          rule #2 is to only sell what the market wants. These people are interested in
          credit score info.

          This is the right line of thinking because it's all related to what they are seeking.

          What if you jumped on google with those keywords, found the five largest sites
          that come up for each KW, get on their list and see what they offer their list.

          I'm guessing that they've spent a whole bunch of time and money figuring out
          what these people want and buy.

          Thanks for this info. Didnt mean to come off as if it was taken personally..because I did not take it that way , I really did mean it when I said "no bizopp, I get it" so I could get some ideas on out of the box approaches. Folks, I realize these are the obvious things to follow up with....Unfortunately its quite the dead horse to beat, because the advertisers are already sending these guys offers on debt repair, ID theft, monitoring, etc... thats why I get paid a nice commission to send them the lead. For this reason alone, was I kind of hoping to brainstorm outloud in the thread and steer away from the obvious credit repair, debt help, etc. services. Thanks!

        I would suggest do some data mining means send a short survey to the list identifying what offers would they like to see. Then segment the list into profiles depending on the survey result. You can create a quick and free survey on SurveyMonkey: Free online survey software & questionnaire tool

        Yes and note that whatever you offer to your list needs to be relevant to them otherwise you will burn the list and have many unsubscribe so all your hard work will be wasted

        Good luck

      Now you're beating the dead horse. Point taken... I'll put that one on my "not to do list as well". No cupcakes for the sailor.

      For the sake of defense here...I atleast thought to target the consumer interested in having available credit/money in order to make a purchase...."need to buy something"....key points here....so your example is a bit far fetched and unwarranted ....or perhaps you just want to get your licks in... unless I would actually think that every sailor and their mother loves to learn cupcake baking. I for one can say that everyone and their mother can use some extra cash, regardless of how high they set their sails. For those people that PM'd me about true ways to make some temporary/albeit easy free money with incentivized offers, I appreciate your tips ..it was very gracious of you. I have however come to the realization (prior to this post mind you) that I wont be promoting any of this to my list.

    There are a few options I can see here.

    1. If you contact Equifax/Transunion they have product that allows people to see what they need to do to increase their credit score by 90 points. You make a deal with them and sell this service to your list (If they can afford to purchase it via CC or paypal).

    2. Strike a deal with a bankruptcy/credit counseling business where you provide them with leads of people in need of their service and direct your list to a lead capture page that forwards to your clients and charge them with a CPA pricing model.

    3. Call capital one credit cards (their business model is based on people with poor credit) and work out a deal where you send then leads at a CPA pricing model.

    These three suggestions all require salesmanship and finding your own clients but this way you cut out the middle man of a CPA network.
