Got over 500 000 downloads last month for my projects, looking for ways to monetize it, any tips?

Hey guys,
I'm new to the Warrior Forum but I've been lurking for a while and I'm about to start up my website and I might need some help here!
The thing is... I have the traffic (from YouTube - big subs count) and for every video I promote the link, so that people can download my "thing" that I'm showing off.
I don't want to screw this up by getting adsense ban or lose any potential money since I would stop using adfly.

I'm currently using a "portal" website to put up my projects and I got over 500,000 downloads on my mediafire account last month and the portal website so far got over 800,000 views on my projects.

I thought of a way to get registered users on my forum; for every download I would put up a "deluxe" edition that adds some features. The visitors could register for free, take about 30 seconds and it's optional. The thing is, out of 500 000 downloads, I'm pretty sure I would get at least 10 000 potential new users a month that could get in a mailing list that I could use to send 1 or 2 emails a year to promote the website and also get some potential forum traffic. Forum would have support, download management and general discussions about the projects.

Any tips ? So far I've been using adfly and I'm making about 250$ a month, which is really bad.

The thing I'm mostly worried is adsense ban, since I won't have lot of content for a while, until the forum gets busy.

    Hmm how about:

    > Sell affiliate products on the site, near the download link (clickbank)
    > Put ads on the page near the download link (Adsense)
    > Sell advertising space within the "thing" you are selling (Depends on what your item is)
    > Actually charge $5 for the "thing" (Even if your download rate plummets because of it, you will still make money everytime someone wants it enough to buy it).

    Adsense or CPA offers are good ways to monetize a video.

    I see no reason why you should fear adsense ban unless you are doing something against their TOS. Read the rules again and comply and you will make lots of money.

    I heard of a guy on this forum that makes cool cash from adsense by simply having a few content on his site and dowload links.

    I agree with Ajay Tiwari, use an opt-in page where they just have to give their email to get their free download. Imagine what you can do with 500k subscribers?! Say if you created a product and and sell it to that list for $10. Even if 0.1% of that list bought that product you'd be getting $5000 in cash right there.

    I have around 30k subscribers on my guitar niche list, I send them affiliate products time to time and I get an average $500 of commissions each time. And that's in ONE list I have, I have several, the biggest one being around 300k.

    All I'm saying nothing is as powerful as targeting a huge group of like minded people and with list building that's the way to go.

    Forum is for discussion so you need not have to worry about content. Once they are on the board they will generate the content in the form of discussion just like warrior forum.
