Good product sketchy affiliate program?

There is a product I want to promote but the affiliate program is sketchy.

The affiliate program is in house and consists of a form on the merchant's website where I enter the potential leads info. Next a merchant's salesman contacts the potential lead to close the sale.

This system could easily cheat people from their hard earned commissions since there would be little way of knowing if the merchant is giving the affiliate the credit.

Plus the merchant's sales page contains of some affiliate links.

The merchant seems to be best in class according to the reviews and comparisons I have read.

Would you promote this merchant?

    You know more about it than we do - maybe telling us who the merchant is would help, although I understand your reluctance to divulge that information. The way i see it. If I feel nervous about doing business with someone - I do a little research, if I am still nervous - I give it a miss.
