Will I get in legal trouble?

Hi I have some videos that promote a grow taller course and hair regrowt ebook and I get some nice traffic from them...so I was thinking to create my own product about those niches so I can make more money by marketing my own products...

My question is can I get in legal trouble for selling these courses?
Maybe I get into legal trouble because it is doubtful that is possible to grow taller and regrow hair?

I know that this forum is not a good place to ask for legal advice...but I know that some warriors here are lawyers who know what they are talking about...so I would like to know whats their opinion....I ll just take into consideration what they have to say about this...

I wouldn't touch that market with a ten foot pole as a publisher. Maybe to promote others products, but never have my own being sold. Too much chance of legal problems for me.

I'm no lawyer - and I don't play one on the Internet, but I would be very careful promoting something that you don't know for sure if it works or not.

If you have verifiable, documented PROOF that your product does what you claim, then you're probably safe. But if you're just creating a product because there appears to be a demand for it, tread carefully.

If Jack grows taller than his beanstalk and Magic Johnson grows some hair, then count them dollars up buddy.

But if an irate Danny DeVito still has to stand on an orange box when he's finished your course, and his bald pate is still reflecting the light of the moon on a dark night, then you're in serious trouble. In this scenario I wouldn't worry much about meeting the mortgage payment next month as the house won't be yours much longer. Legal bills are hellish expensive

Can you get in trouble? Yes.

Will you get in trouble? That depends on a lot of things, enough so that nobody here could give you a definitive answer one way or another. If you are serious about this I would talk to a lawyer first.

    I would

    1. Choose one of the 2 niches - hair growth sounds more plausible than growing tall

    2. Have a legal disclaimer

    3. Choose products that work - and I believe there are some

    Regards

But then you wouldn't be tall enough to see which 'growing taller' product you want from the top shelf of the store. Gimme the legs any time, and you save on a comb!

Yea, I guess if you're tall enough people won't see the bald patch

Looks like you need a different username then .

If the OP has to ask about legal trouble, it's probably because they know there are situations where they are going to be held liable.

So the saying in this case would go "If you need to ask whether it's risky or not, the answer is probably yes."

I see there are around 10 ebooks about how to grow taller on clickbank...and most of them have been marketed for a few years already...so I dont think theres anything wrong with that niche...otherwise clickbank wouldnt approve those products...

            Skyisblue,

You said "it is doubtful that is possible to grow taller and regrow hair"

If it is doubtful that your advice and product is going to work . . . why, why, why are you thinking of selling it to anyone?

Excuse me for being so blunt - but don't you have your customer's best interests in mind? It sounds as though all you care about is the sale. Good luck building a business that you know scams people.

Actually I wanted to say: maybe for the ftc it is doubtful that is possible to grow taller and regrow hair...

I believe it's possible to grow taller...pilates and yoga can help you grow taller...
at least a few inches...but Im not sure ftc and fda think the same way...

If in doubt seek a lawyer, but based on your description I'd avoid having anything to do with it

I would have an AWESOME disclaimer and a terms of use.

Also, put a defensive spin on it.

For example, instead of "LEARN TO GROW 3 INCHES" say "THIS IS HOW I PERSONALLY GREW 3 INCHES".

    Can you identify the difference?

You don't need a lawyer to tell you that it's wrong to sell products that don't work. A conscience is all you need.
