I have a small list which I got from a one off solo ad. in a certain niche that I am no longer interested in.

I would like to pass the list on to someone who will make good use of it and give value too.

Does anyone know the most effective way to pass a list on from aweber besides copy and paste?

Thanks.

I would be careful with this. What was the understanding you had with people who joined your list? Does your privacy policy state that you are able to sell, share or transfer their details to someone else because that is what you are doing. Unless this was stated then you can't just transfer your leads to someone else.

I had a list of those a while ago, and I couldn't transfer them due to privacy policy just like what Will had mentioned, so I just decided to delete them all.

Is it in the Internet marketing niche? If this is allowed I would be interested

I think that if you used Aweber to build the list, it may not be allowed to give it away to someone else.

Those subscribers opted in subject to Aweber's terms of service regarding privacy, surely? Wouldn't anyone else just be spamming them? It wouldn't be "permission-based marketing", would it, unless the people have consented to being sold/given away?

    Do not flush the list..

There may be a way to do a simple transfer..

For instance.. the person who wishes to take over the list can set up an irresistible squeeze page in that particular niche with a very good offer on it.. an ebook, or an Ecourse etc.. a video course, an audio course.. give away a part of it initially to tempt them.. then get them to opt-in for the rest..

Then, that person (the squeeze page owner) can pass the web address and details (do three lots of details about the irresistible offer) of the offer to 'Roseaff' who in turn sends two or three emails out to that list over the course of a week to ensure that everyone on the list receives the details.., and anyone who is on the list and is interested can opt-in.. and after all the leads have been exhausted, Roseaff can delete them and the new marketer can take over with whatever number of subscribers who have transferred..

    Regards..

I think Alexa is right. Not only does aWeber not allow you to import subscribers, but anything that is sent to them by anyone but you is Spam since your subscribers didn't ask to see email from anyone but you.

The only way I see that you might use the list is to first send an email out recommending that your subscribers visit so and so's website and join her list.

Thanks to all for the responses!

Knight thanks for a particularly insightful view on it! Have learnt something from that!

I shall most likely just let it go...

I wonder how all the list-swaps and the many versions of JVs jump that hoop ;? clearly very few IM'ers if any at all ask for our permission to email us in the cases of JVs and list swaps but hey...the IM game is what it is..

I think they generally do so by each party sending the other's information/message to their own list.

That's less clear to me ... but I'm pretty careful what/whom I subscribe to.
