Amazon Affiliates - question for you

Just wondering - when I first learned affiliate marketing with Amazon, I was taught to use pretty link to cloak my links.

Recently I heard from someone else that they do not use pretty link with Amazon because Amazon does not allow cloaked links. Since then I have not used pretty link -

But..just wondering what everyone else does?

    As far as I know, you cannot use an redirect to send someone to Amazon.

    The link has to be on your own website. You can have cloaked links that sends someone to your page, but the Amazon link has to be embedded on your page.

    You cannot use redirect links in ebooks or youtube videos.

    Amazon does have a pretty cool way to post to twitter and facebook. But you need to create that from within Aamzon. Look for the ribbon at the top of the Amazon page to find it.

    Don't mess around with Amazon. They will immediately delete your account for a violation of their TOS.

    I've never cloaked my links and never will...There's hardly any upside to cloaking your Amazon affiliate links so why bother?

    I rather use the amzn shorten url than cloak.

    The shorten url should be used on your site and your site or page is what you should give out.

      My links are clearly labeled "Buy From Amazon" or "Read more Amazon Reviews", so my readers/customers know exactly what they are clicking and it makes no sense to try and clock the link.
