[Clickbank] 842 Hops and 2 Sales....Really

Hey new to the forums. Been with BHW for a little bit but figured id give yall a shot =)

Question:

So about a week about i made my first clickbank sale. It was for about $31 then another sale went through and i got it the next morning for $41.78 and in the past few days my hops keep going up but nothing else is selling. The niche is an guide ebook for a newer pc game that just game out which is pretty popular at the moment.

Im at 842 hops without anymore then 2 sales completed.

Current SEO:
Scrapebox backlinking (working so-so but nothing to crazy)
Youtube Commenting/ Videos (generated a decent amount of hops)

Should i leave this niche as is and continue to another niche? If i had to throw down some money where would i invest in to get my best chance in more sales?

Leave reply's without whatever you think helps. Thanks everyone.

Try a different product within the same niche. You already know how to get good traffic to your offers (the kinda you are promoting now).

If its about the conversions then probably the sales page of the vendor might not be working for you. Go for a similar product and see how it converts. Then you can promote the one which converts the better.

    Hope this helps

      Heres a little more info.

I masked the domain so it goes straight to the sellers page squeeze page with product for sale. I honestly felt like there could be good sales with my current product. Maybe the guide just isn't eye catching enough. Im watching the vendors gravity grow more and more everyday prolly 1-3 points per day

Give them a free report and get them to your squeeze page instead. Squeeze pages are not hard to build.

There you lost maybe around 100 subscribers which could have bought you another $100-200/pm.

You're assuming the offer is the issue. Have you considered that the traffic you're sending is subpar?

Lose the masked domain and presell that offer and another in the same niche. Either your traffic isn't interested in buying anything or the offer sucks.

Hmm, Yes i agree. I need to build my own list. I have a bit of money to invest in good templates. Where do you recommend i start with my squeeze page? I want these people interested.

Yeah i need to, was thinking maybe using AMR combined with a hirewriters.com article written well for my niche. Then id be able to spin it with some quality context.

Let your visitors tell you. As in, split test 2-4 squeeze pages or variations on the same page.

You've seen plenty of squeeze pages. Copy one or a couple and modify them for your needs.

Always be testing. Even when your funnel is successful and pulling massive ROI, you need to be testing.

      This.

From the perspective of your future income, this is the biggest and most important decision you can make. You've done well to make even a couple of sales from direct linking.

There might be things in this thread which will help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6737670

From my experience, sending YouTube traffic directly to a paid offer usually converts pretty poorly. What works much better is to send that traffic to a squeeze page, where you bribe them with something free to get them on your list. Then once they're on your list, you send them a series of autoresponder messages that provide value while pre-selling them on whatever product you're promoting.

Yeah could be bad traffic, I wouldn't leave that niche. Try different products and switching up the advertisement or promotion of the products (all of those little things matter).

Exactly. Im staying in the niche in development of my new squeeze pages. Going to release a few new sites for this niche after i conquer this first one. I know there are sales out there i just need better bait

Try going to a different product. Why? Because it is obvious that site just can't convert visitors into buyers. If you look at the site, try to ask yourself, will I buy this?

I wouldn't buy alot of things sold through clickbank to tell you the truth.....im not the right person to ask myself this lol. I see that sales are there and I'm going to continue. I have experience with this niche i just need to build my list right now.

I span out later but i want to finish this first one first. I feel confident i will see more sales. So no I'm not giving up just yet

You're in a tough niche. I'm guessing your ebook has something to do with an MMO video game since that's what most guides in this niche are about.

Thing is most people who play these games are:

    young males who are...
    tech savy
    and broke.

Selling to young males who sit around on the internet all day is pretty hard because there BS alarms are top notch. They've seen it all.

And they are broke and would rather save that $40 to buy the guide to pay a couple months of their gaming subscriptions instead.

So your current approach isn't going to work very well.

It's a very tough niche to crack and the only way you will crack it is with laser targeting. You need to understand your market better. Then you can create a highly targeted approach that will get them interested enough to spend their pizza money on your guide.

Very useful info. That explains why i have high hops and low conversions. Well if i drop out of this niche. How can i go about finding another niche that would have better conversions.

I dont like wasting time with something that wont pay me back in time. I'm looking at purchasing optimize press tonight but first i would like to settle on a niche.

Even if i wanted to stay in this niche( which id like to) would it even be worth while? I've already created my freebie to offer the people so im set on that

Oh it can be done. You just have to speak to their interests better.

Most of these people who play these games want to get ahead. They want the most money and the best gear. Your best bet is to sell to the hardcore achievers in these games.

I think for a free offer you could do something like a free ebook that gives them 10 tips on how to make more gold or get better items, etc.

If they get your free ebook and it's good relevant information you can tell them that there is even better stuff in the full guide.

I think one unique approach that could help you is how you market inside of the ebook.

If you pitch them on the idea that if they get in early and make all this money they can start selling it back for real cash so the guide will pay for itself. I know a lot of the hardcore players like to sell on the side to make some extra money.

So I definitely think there are a lot of different approaches you can take with this. Split test them all and find out which one works the best. But the most important piece of advice I can give you is to not try and make it obvious you are selling something. If these guys sense the slightest bit of sales pitch they won't even bother.

If you want to be sneaky you could do this...

Go on gaming forums for that game and post something like...

"I've made xxx gold so far, how much gold do you have?"

Just act like your a regular gamer and tell them how you have your secret spots for making easy gold (game currency).

Naturally you will get some people asking you where these spots are.

Then just mention you downloaded a guide from a website that showed you all these secret spots, tips and tricks, etc.

I've got 1400 clickthroughs over four niches and no sale, using squidoo pages.

So, remember it could be worse

While im not really qualified to give advice, I's say just keep it up

Your question is being answered my friend. You have to presell before selling.Build a simple squeeze page, give a free 20page report and you could slowly build your list.

Try that for 10 days and i am sure that you will get much more sales.

How comfortable are you guys with sharing your sites here?

Well I'm not a wimp and would like some critique. So ill share it with yall.

Squeeze Page #1 Still in progress @ goo . gl/U1bUO
Created it with leaderrocketpro. What do i need to add to it to make it more appealing. Was thinking a video above the first line up text with some gameplay and a voiceover done by me.

Cant decide whether to promote Fast level or Fast Gold

    Let me know guys. Thanks

This squeeze page is pretty simple but it can work. I would definitely use a short video just to try it out and see the results

After the short video(in my opinion no longer than 30 seconds, you don't want people to get bored to see it), you need to have a strong call to action.

Do not use "Claim Guide". Say e.g. "Yes, i want my FREE guide NOW!"

You could always use split testing to see what works best for your niche.

My opinion is to use Google conversion Optimizer tool. You should be able to create different versions of your squeeze page and see which one gets the more conversions(more signups in your case).

          Good luck

Another thing to think about is using a presell page which in my years of testing has always proven to bring in more conversions and sales then sending people directly to the sales page.
