suggestions for plugins to sell my new ebook through paypal. i just want something to redirect them to a download link once the purchase is completed in paypal.

    Rather than a Wordpress plugin, I'd invest in DLGuard. It works with Wordpress or on a WSO or on a webpage. You can hook up as many products as you want and it provides the buyer with an expiring download link after Paypal payment (or other payment gateways).
