A serious question about Niches

So after doing some careful research, I am starting to finally understand and put the pieces of the puzzle together ...

But it seems above all things the niche is what makes you the money ...

Am I correct ?

If you find an underpopulated niche then that is what will drive people to you for you to sell them your service or product ...

Now my question is ... how do you uncover your niches ...

do you find something you have no knowledge on and research it till death and then promote ...

I find most of the niches I know about are probably taken ...

Suggestions ?

You missed the point. Don't try to find ways to avoid the competition, find ways to offer something better than the competition. This is the answer that gets ignored often because that means work. Work is hard, and definitely not what the "internet lifestyle" promised.

This is business though, the only difference is that it is performed on the internet instead of in a store.

So then in return when you have better content ... people will automatically bookmark you ... which in turn automatically gets you backlinks without you having to do it manually ...

          Thanks a lot ...

            cjinthecloud,

"But it seems above all things the niche is what makes you the money ...
            Am I correct ?"

            No

"If you find an underpopulated niche then that is what will drive people to you"

            Wrong again

The niche is not what makes you money. What makes you money is selling products and services to ready and willing buyers in the niche that want what you're offering.

Underpopulated niches are those with few prospects. That is not what drives people to you.

People are only driven to your offer if you (or someone else like an affiliate) place it in front of them and it is something that they want badly.

You Must face competition! What is the point promoting the products which are very low gravity? Instead you should try to face competition and for that you have to work allround (SEO, Ranking, Advt. etc.) I am not suggesting you to challenge websites like Facebook or Google. That we can't do in life. We can compete medium competition. Go and search at Google adword external keyword tool. You will definetely find Gems there.

Uncovering niches is a simple endeavor if you view them as needs and wants. You have large markets such as fitness, which can be broken down further into niches and sub-niches (i.e. Core workouts, losing weight for pregnant mothers, pilates for the working woman, bodybuilding, bodybuilding for seniors, exercise routines, etc.).

About 10-12 years ago, there was only one DVD course on how to learn to salsa with a comprehensive product line behind it, today there are far, far more. It's not that competition is a bad thing, in most cases it's a good thing because you now have:

    1. More potential JV partners (or affiliates or both).

    2. More data for your own market research.

This post and thread should help you out too:
