Here's how to make your first $100

No, its not hard.

Create 5 websites and promote 5 different products.

Most likely you'll have a bunch of your websites fail. But that 1 JUST the 1 is all you need for success.

Its tough to match demand, competition, and profitability when creating sites.

Sometimes you enter an overly competitive niche.

Sometimes you enter an unprofitable niche, even though you can get good traffic.

Etc.

That's why you need at least 5 sites. The people that make 1 site and succeed and makes lots of money is RARE... like winning the lottery... but maybe better odds than that.

Success is in the process, not in the lucky 1 hit wonder.

Making your first $100 is really not that hard. Making your $1000 is not that hard either. Its making a consistent $1000 a week/month that takes a lot of dedication.

Its like dating girls. A lot of guys get really tripped up with "What to say" or "How to best approach" when in reality that's the least important and easiest part of the interaction.

Make your first $100 before getting all confused and overwhelmed with the rest of internet marketing.

Here's the plan.

5 websites. 5 different products. 5 articles or more each.

Social bookmark each article.

You'll need a convincing review article.

People make this harder than you think.

All you have to do is looking some super competitive product... add "review" to the keyword and look at the top results. Then simple model your review articles to ones you already find in the top search results.

Done.

Get your ass working son!

Interesting idea, this is something similar to adding google adsense on 100 of your websites and earn from each one 1$ /day/month. Of course it depends on the niche like you said, from some niches you will get 1-2 $/ click other may offer even 20-30$/click (web hosting, real estate)

It is hard to get ranking at Search engines for micro niche websites. But with the patience, you can build good quality websites. It would get ranking no matter what. This is the way to go!

Micro niche sites are sniper sites, they can earn like a head shot guns in overnight. All you have to do is promote them in the right way through social media and social network (in case of seo failure). There is a good chance to expand every MNS in to semi authority site in that related niche! isn't it?

In internet marketing you can use every single chance to make money...All you have to do is capture them effectively in the right way!

The problem nowadays that people build websites to earn money especially when the website is built for adsense. Most of them build the website according to the high keywords and by this way we are ruining the net and don't know . One day we will discover that we our self spoiled all the net that we should keep it clean as much as possible for the next generation. The same happened with the ozone layer and the problem of the environment . Most of us are contributing in the destruction of this lovely world . I'm not against earning money form the net but I'm against putting some garbage on the net and keep it for the next generation to read this garbage to discover that we are not honest and left this garbage for them.

I like your analogy of how it is like dating girls. Guys focus on pickup lines and what does the girl like rather than being masculine and creating polarity with the girl.

You gotta find something that has energy for you. Something where you do it, or talk about it, or make a video about it and you express yourself and it makes people REACT to you.

You do something with enough expression and energy that people REACT to you. That does not necessarily mean money. But go somewhere where people are spending money, and use your enthusiasm and expression to get in the middle of the money spending and stir things up.

Have a direction that you enjoy. Do something you think is cool. People will tag along. If they are already spending money, you come along and create a reaction and some of them will follow you and spend money on things that you talk about.

When know how to create that reaction within a group of people that are spending money, then you will probably see money flowing to you. Don't put money on a pedestal. Remember that when you are doing the right things, the money will flow to you. And then you can expect it. Then money will circulate.

good inspirational post however you are just glossing over what it takes to make money online.

    5 sites, 5 products, 5 articles and that's it?

no way! you need to pick low competition, high traffic keywords to target. there is a lot of research involved before you ever buy that first site. if you just do what you say, you'll fail a lot more than you win. if you research correctly keywords, you'll win 3-4 times for every 5. maybe not 1,000 per week on each site but a good chunk of change!

What some people are missing is that this isn't meant to be a blueprint to marketing success. It's a paradigm shift. Instead of testing the waters with one site, one niche, one traffic source, etc., and giving up when it doesn't work, try a few at a time. Keep what works, change what doesn't, and ditch what REALLY doesn't. Keep testing and trying new things and the success you get from a few will by far overshadow what didn't work.

If you sell a $25 product, getting 4 sales to make $100 should be a walk in the park.

Selling a $7 product to reach the same quota... you'd have to make 15 sales. I personally think the $25 is just as easy to sell as the $7 product. You'd get better quality customers also.

I used to have one blog, nothing went to well, I lost interest. When I started writing as a hobby, I broke my one blog into 4 blogs, all focusing on the same industry, but different segments of that market. Since then my traffic went up 5 times, I am seeing a steady growth in adsense revenue and infolinks. Also, since yesterday it seems that adsense shows more quality adverts that visitors to my site will like more.

And this change came in 2 weeks, from 20 unique visitors to 200 in two weeks. So I will persist and aim for 2000 unique visitors a day, and then get my own advertisers.

Key is to also mention some of the cons.

True. Nothing fishier than a review that is only positive. Also, cross referencing other reviews (without traffic leaks) might be good too.

My thought pattern is that when I have fully developed my .com website it will be easier to kick start the traffic, 4 blogs feeding one website and then eventually evolve that site into 3-4 websites. Blogging is a good way to begin when skills are limited and cash flow is low.

I would think bigger than adsense. Try selling actual products/services. More money in that.

Blogging for the sake of blogging with no direction is a sure way to failure. But if you blog with specific goals in mind... keywords, sales pages, etc.... then its great.

Blogging is simply a communication platform, its all about how you use it.

Another good tactic. The benefit of having multiple blogs, especially somewhat related is that you can siphon traffic to which ever direction you want.

I completely agree. When I was an IM newbie I thought all I had to do was put up some blogs, promote them and then voila! Money in the bank. Not quite.
Now that I am a bit more seasoned I've realized that you MUST have a plan for your blog in order to make more than just $100 here and there. All of my blogs are centered around women's interests and I siphon traffic from one to the other just as you said. You can make money blogging, you just have to have a solid plan and tweak as necessary.

That's a gross oversimplification of the process and the effort involved. You may have to build 100 sites to find the ONE site that makes you big money. Or, you may get lucky. However, 5 sites with 5 articles is probably going to get you $0.05/day from Adsense. That's what happens to most people, just look in the Adsense section of the forum

I'm one of those "noobees". I'm not a newbee at internet, IT,m webdesign or graphics...or sales. I've made a good living with these for the past 5 years...turning that sales experience into online I seem to have hit a mental block. 5 -5 makes sense. you can't get to the 100 sites until you've built the 5...and from those five 6 and on will keep improving as you learn something, at least I hope that's the process. So far, buying product sure as hell isn't...all this product sold and newbees still can't get off the ground. There's something seriously wrong with this picture. Maybe some are looking for the silver bullet, I'm just looking for some real, genuine content...like google is...not a bunch of fluff, poorly spun and rewritten PRLs..or some they don't even bother to change the cover and copy off...Assuming everyone you're speaking to is stupid and won't catch it is really dumb. When I make my first $100, ..if I get to $1000 or more..I'll be extatic...it's been one hell of a rough long road to here...

    In my opinion ...

The best way to make your first $100 online..

is to promote a product that will earn you those $100 so if you make one sale in one day that's $100!!

I like the way you explained this method - 5 sites and stuff...

But now in these days... it is kind of hard to build successful micro niche sites - especially from scratch...and then make it a successful website...

    In today's internet marketing world....

Blogging is the best way to make sales online - if you blogged daily for 3 to 6 months (consistently of course - daily!) - you will find out how much money blogging can earn you!

I made my first $100 online thanks to blogging and all I did was some SEO + Blogging = Sales!

I suggest people to just build one website and blog daily - with a little bit of search engine optimization and backlinks - you can generate traffic very fast!

building 5 sites will be just too much work and since the search engines and people themselves like a site that has a lot of content - it will be much easier to put all of that content in one site.

Thanks for sharing your method anyways!

Building a site, publishing 10-15 articles in it and forgetting about it doesn't work anymore. Your analytic's graph line will be a nice downward slide.

I would rather focus on owning an authority blog than a bunch of sites.

Above all... it is cumbersome to manage so many sites.

Good point, Deepak. Focused blogging helps turn content into traffic and traffic into content. Listening to your blog visitors= content which pulls even more traffic due to increased loyalty. People tend to be loyal to sites that listen to them.

I think by far the easiest way for getting a $100 is in my sig file. I know, looks like a cheesy promo...but seriously, if you're in the US, this works!

Most important aspect from all of this so far: you need to test so the idea of starting with 5 sites, from the testing perspective its not a bad concept.

Another way to $100 is to offer a valuable service, at low prices first, and be good at it. Market yourself here at the WF in the services section etc..see what people need or want, do that thing (eg. article writing, linkbuilding, whatever it is) and offer this at competitive prices.

    So many ideas possible...

A good way to make your first 100$ (not passive income) is to use Fiverr services and offer them to people on other platforms (using Craigslist, Business forums and other listings) - buy for 5$ and sell for more (video for $50-100, Logos for $40-50 etc')
Good enough distribution of ads and $100 profit is a couple of days is quite certain.
You need to keep at it in order to turn it into a regular income stream though.
Make sure you choose a highly rated service provider and use Plimus & Paypal for getting the payment.

1 site can work if you do the research first. Find a product in a niche where people are looking for a solution to their problem and you'll make you're first $100 or more. Of course there's more to it then this but really, you can make money with only 1 site.

It's a good tactic. I think your right on the "one site wonder" part. Putting a mass in is good as long as its focused on the same thing. Ex would be just sites catering to products vs sites catering to different styles of IM.

Why not use 1 site and earn $100 instead of 100 sites? In one site you can easily focus more and more. 100 sites will make you confused.

Hm.. So waste money on buying domains to promote all type of products with the hope that at least one of them succeeds? I don't know.....

Simply creating 5 page blogs and throwing a few bookmarks at them is probably why you are getting so many sites that fail.

You need to create more pages, do some good on-page SEO, but not over optimize.

Next you need some social media activity. You can do this by either creating your own accounts or putting social sharing buttons in key places on your site. I suggest both.

Also, make sure your site has some good videos on it. People are too lazy to read long articles, but they will stay and watch a vid for long enough for google to consider your side worthy of rank increase.

Very simple. Figure out your niche. Figure out forums and blogs that cater to your niche. Post around on those sites-don't share your link just yet. Keep posting until you establish credibility. Next, make sure your blog posts or site pages are relevant to the discussion and mention them there. Don't get too crazy. Mention them sparingly. The key is to foster DISCUSSION, CONTRIBUTE REAL CONTENT, and BUILD COMMUNITY.

I don't see how that will work. You're on the right track but it's not that simple.

I don't think that it is quite as easy as you make it out to be, OP.

To use this method, make sure to choose keywords with low competition to easy rank.

That all sounds great and really doable... I'm making bunches
    of different sites...

I have no list... How do I get traffic to these wonderful sites?
    Thanks Karen
