Got my first Fiverr Gig today - woohoo! Only 999 more to go

18 replies
Created my 1st Fiverr gig about 2 weeks ago and got an order just today in the early am.

Though I don't think doing Fiverr gigs is a long-term or sustainable biz model - I was curious to see how well it would work to generate "buyer" leads for other services I offer.

Well, I'll find out soon enough. 999 more gigs and I might clear $5k (less any fees of course!) and a nice sized list of clients

This in no way means I am giving up my CPA efforts; but I'll gladly take the extra $5 (or $4 and change after Fiverr collects their fees) :p

I'll let you know how it goes

        Hi Slazengeer,

        Sorry if my choice of words led to any misunderstanding. When I say "buyer" list within this context, I'm speaking of simply building a list of fiverr names of folks who have purchased a gig from me.

        Naturally, one would have to continue rapport with these folks in order to develop trust and build an ongoing relationship in order to get more work - inside or outside of Fiverr.

        For example, in the gig I completed today, I included my web site address and contact info within the document I delivered. So, if this person should want to contact me, he can do so as he has my info.

        Also, he showed me his website -- so I now have his contact info as well and do plan on following up with him. There is no grabbing of email IDs and I wouldn't even know how to do that... although I would admit that would be nice

        Hope I've cleared things up.

    Congrats. I just hit 100 sales the other day. Not bad for my first 2-3 months, eh?

    You should post your Gig(s) in this thread. I will order if it matches some of my IM needs.

    Good luck!

    @Prem -

    Read your post. Real bummer man. You offer a pretty decent service. I imagine you can charge even more outside of Fiverr

    You might be right there, it can be pretty inconsistent and who knows where it will go long term, but I've found it's definitely good for small passive income at the moment.
