Someone had spammed my WP homepage with 24,578 post of Spam including categorizing it in every U.S. state.

What to do?.

    Grab a mass post deletion plugin and delete them.


    There's several free ones to choose from. All I've ever tried worked the same way though.

    Here's the one I've used most recently:

    I already deleted the other State categories and this is what it looks like.
    24,578 post of spam since Monday.

    Also recommend signing up for Askimet, it's free for the account and the plugin comes pre-installed in WordPress.

    This can prevent a good deal of spam and is IP address based. Chances are for someone to get 24,000+ posts to your site they used at least one IP address that had been black listed by Askimet.

    Wow - what the hell happened? You really need some more anti spam protection - they seem like xrumer forum spam which usually gets caught in the spam filter.
