Wanting to start internet marketing!

I've read numerous books and countless articles for online marketing and I'm sold. I'll be getting out of the military soon and looking for something that I can make money with without spending a lot of time on so I can go back to school. Should I pay someone to make one of these websites for me or learn to do it myself? Even after all the readings I've done I feel like I am missing something to get started. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks, Josh

Stick around on here Josh. Read, read, and read again. Soak up everything you can like a sponge. You'll soon be able to sort out the wheat from the chaff and guess what? . . . many of the tasks you thought you were incapable of you'll suddenly realise are actually within reach.

If I can be of any help to you whatsoever - with what limited knowledge I have - then feel free to contact me. No matter how trivial you consider the question posed.

  • From one beginner to the next, I strongly suggest you choose one thing--just one--and learn it thoroughly. Then pick up another. Too many people hop from one thing to the next, looking for some magic solution.

This is good advice above. Follow it.

And learn how to drive free traffic to whatever you are promoting first, then when you can earn using free methods (like free ads on Craigslist and Backpage, USFreeAds, OLX and others) then hire and outsource worker on Fiverr to do the work for you. Then start learning another system.

I would say you missing motivation.Try it. Stick to one of these methods and try it. There are lots of profitable ways out there to make money. You can hire someone to make all for you but would you really like to give your living income to someone you dont even know with money you dont had earned before ?? I wouldn`t. That`s my opinion but it`s up to You.You will find a great way for yourself. As a tip just look to binary options too.

    Good luck

Hey, Josh. Welcome to the Warrior Forum, and thank you for your service. Blogging is a good way to start making money online because it's something you can do around your own schedule and the income is residual. Before you consider outsourcing stuff, you should first learn to do it yourself just so you can have control over your business and money. Finally, making money online is very "hands on," so you kind of have to just dive in.

There are a number of quality courses to teach you affiliate marketing (promoting other people's products in exchange for a commission on very sale made) via a blog (the specific type of internet marketing you're looking to learn and most common). I recommend you check out Google Sniper by George Brown or Affiloblueprint 3 by Mark Ling. The latter is more expensive, but you can't go wrong with either one.

    Good luck,
    Joey

I think you could do both. I'm sure someone could help you make your website and teach you along the way. Best of both worlds

Thanks for all the quick responses. I feel like all the information I have gotten is just overwhelming and where to really sit down and start is blinded to me.

@kbrocker68 We're in the same boat. Just starting out myself and everybody I know is totally against it. Don't even know why I mentioned it in the first place... They don't think it's possible to make money through affiliate marketing. Everything is a scam and I shouldn't let myself be fooled and so on... so tiring... So I'm DETERMINED to make this work even though I feel like I don't know a single thing abouth this. But I guess it's just like Miguelito203 wrote... you just have to dive in to it! :.)

I Just signed up for Google Sniper 2.0 and although I'm currently having problems logging in (they can't find my login information) I'm gonna go with this one now!! So let's do this! :-)

If you want to fast action and fast income. You can outsource the skills people to build your sites, social, traffic, etc.

If you want to be a business online man, you can outsource.
If you want to be a freelancer you must learn the skills first till you can.

Don't give up! You'll make a few mistakes along the way, you might go a long time without making anything, you might get lucky, who knows.

Learn the trade, it's like any other job, you need to know what SEO is and get good at it! It will seem overwhelming at first, but just keep on going.

Marketing, online marketing, and internet marketing are all forms of marketing a product, service, business, brand, etc.

When you say you want to start internet marketing, what type of business do you want to start to use internet marketing on?

One of the FASTEST ways to make money onine is to first find a "niche" or an area that you're particularly interested in.

It could be gardening, dog training, video games, snowboarding, making pottery, swimming, hiking etc.

Once you have identified these areas, the next thing you need to do is go to a site like Clickbank.com, or CommissionJunction.com or Amazon.com/Affiliates, and you can then start finding PRODUCTS that you can then promote ONLINE and recieve a COMMISSION CHECK every time you sell one of them.

When you find a good product that you'd like to promote, such as an eBook, training course or membership site in your niche or area of interest, such as woodworking, dating, poker, etc., all you THEN have to do is PROMOTE YOUR AFFILIATE LINK TO THIS PRODUCT.

There are many ways that you can promote the affiliate link to your product.

You can leave comments on forums in your area of interest, you can promote the link on Facebook, you can write articles with your link at that bottom of the article, or you can make YouTube videos about your interest with your affiliate link in the description box for the video.

    Hope that helps!

    Sincerely,

    -Brody

Sorry but I disagree. I think the fastest way to make money online is to use direct linking to a product with PPC advertising.

I'm not saying this is the most effective way but it certainly is the fastest.

    Hi Josh,

Back-Linking is the best method to bring traffic to your blog after the recent Penguin update earlier last year. The more back-links, the more traffic driven to your site! More Traffic = More $$$

Here's a list of Back-Linking strategies that I use personally:

    1. Content Syndication
    2. Blog Commenting
    3. Sponsoring WordPress Themes
    4. Article Directories
    5. SEO
    6. Video Marketing
    7. Forum Marketing
    8. Web 2.0
    9. Ego-Bait
    10. Interviews
    11. Social Networking
    12. Fiverr Gigs
    13. Google PPC

The best advice I can give you, is learn to do it yourself! Paid back-linking services are mostly scams and the back-link gigs on Fiverr have mostly fake reviews that convince newer Internet Marketers to buy from them. The Internet is so vast and there are many scammers out there that want your money.

I've written a guide on Back-Linking and Free Traffic Systems, you might want to check it out for a more in-depth explanation on the topic.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll be more than happy to answer them!

If you are still confused from information overload, then I suggest you get a mentor.

However, if you are up for the challenge then the best adivce I can offer you is to build a list and focus on buiding your buyers list. I'm not going to explain "how to" in this thread as there is too much to cover and I'd be giving away the fun part of your story.

Nothing more nothing less just go for it!

Completely agree, kbrocker68, like what was mentioned earlier in this thread, stick to one thing and learn everything about it. And please, don't make the #1 newbie mistake which is hopping from one WSO to another.

And no matter which method you take, you HAVE to make a list. That's where the real money is

Congrats. The internet is a great way to make an income but you may run into road blocks. Just expect them and barrel though them!

Hang out around this forum because there is A LOT of helpful information you will find here.

I would also suggest you create your own blog about yourself, so people know who you are and you also build a following. You don't HAVE to do this, but it may help in the long run.
