WSO - How Much Sales Before You Bump?

Hey folks,

I have recently discovered a pretty neat technique that I would like to package into a WSO and share with fellow warriors

Since I've never done this before, I'm crunching some numbers and I need your help...

How much sales do you get on average before you have to rebump your thread?
I know, I know... this depends on many factors, but if everyone could just share your experience, we might get a rough estimate. Please note that it's going to be a $10-$20 WSO, not more than that.

Curious about your answers,
Zannix

You can only bump your WSO when it hits the third page.

I would bump it as soon as it hits the third page and keep
doing so as long as profitable/people are interested in it.

For bumps to be effective these days you need a really excellent thread title, something that grabs the reader and forces him to click. Without that, fuggettaboudit...

Depends on the purpose behind your WSO.

Not everyone is about making sales on the front end offer.

Some people might just be testing the market.

Some might be testing sales letters.

Some might want to just make a couple hundred bucks and be on their merry way.

Once I make enough to pay for the bump ($40) then I bump again. Sometimes though, I don't bother especially when I have some really great people as affiliates. My thumb of rule though is that if I haven't made a little over $40, I don't bump.

Generally speaking, I would continue to bump as long as it is profitable to do so. However, as Jill mentioned, that profitability is not always based on front-end sales. For example, if your main goal is to build a list, then your profitability would be based on the lifetime value of each new person on your list.

That being said, in my experience, bumping isn't where the "real" money is anyway. The two big "secrets" are to participate frequently in the forum so people get a sense of who you are, and to set up an affiliate program to get a bunch of people selling for you.

All of this assumes that you are offering an awesome, high-quality product that people are interested in.

    All the best,
    Michael
