Selling In The IM Niche A Risky Business?

I've seen lots of threads on people getting their paypal/2checkout account being shut down recently.

This also happened to 2 of my friends who sell products and services in the IM niche.

One was using paypal and the other 2checkout.

I personally use 2checkout because i cannot use Paypal due to withdrawals not being available to my country.

As i was starting to fear also being shutdown, i checked the Prohibited products list of 2checkout https://www.2checkout.com/ppl/ (which is very similar to paypal)

Shocked!!!

I currently fall in below categories (i'm sure that you do also):

- Remote Access Services / Technical Support
I offer website setup and support services

- "Up-Sell" Sellers
I offer upsell in most of my offers

- Offering a Free Gift, Prize or Contest/Sweepstakes entry as an inducement to purchase their product or service
The squeeze page optin then upsell that marketers regularly use "can" fall in this category

- Multi-Level Marketing Companies
One of my friends got shutdown by paypal because he was offering coaching services and paypal saw it as multi-level marketing because he was selling information to another person, who is then supposed to use that information to create a business that sells information to other people, and so on

- "Get-rich-quick" schemes
As all internet marketing niche are related to increasing profits in some way or another, i also can fall in this category.

Your views on the subject would be much appreciated

Cheers,

Gary
