Is it against Amazon affiliate rules?

I had noticed there are people selling amazon products via Squidoo lenses. They directly put their affiliate code inside their lens and getting good amount of sales as it is comparatively easy to rank Squidoo lens than a website.

But, I wonder, is it against Amazon affiliate terms & conditions? Because, when we setup amazon account, they usually ask about the places from where you can drive traffic. If Squidoo is not selected over there??

Any advice warriors?, Thanks in advance for your help,

P.S : I am working for client's website which are dealing with Amzon affiliate products. But, If using Squidoo lens & etc are NOT violating Amazon's rules, I can suggest that method to my client

I'm not sure. but I think that it should be against with Squidoo's rule.
Squidoo is not like affiliate lens or lens for selling purpose.
I think it is not violating Amazon's rule.
When you start account. the easier method is blogger. that's be fine.

I can't imagine it's against their rules. Amazon encourage affiliates to share links using Twitter, Facebook, and so on, in addition to whatever website they nominated when they first signed up. Squidoo is just a variation on that, it seems to me.

I don't think is against their rules. Because you help Amazon to promote their products. They would thank you more if you are getting good amount of sales.

Oh it's absolutely allowed to add your affiliate links at Squidoo, there is no problem with what whatsoever. What Squidoo sort of frowns upon - especially when the products are 'shady' are the Clickbank links. So if you're doing Squidoo lenses and have your own Amazon ID, go ahead and add them - my way is to add a bit of both, my links first and towards the end Squidoo Amazon links. Works beautifully.

It's neither against Squidoo's Tos nor Amazon's TOS.

      Absolutely the right answer!

In fact, if you live in a state where Amazon doesn't grant affiliate accounts you can still use Squidoo for Amazon sales. Squidoo has Amazon affiliate links for you can use for products you'd like to promote. Of course you have to split the earnings with them. (If you use your own affiliate link, as kislany mentions, you don't split earnings with Squidoo.)

      Peace
