Mac browser disappear?

Hi:

I use a Mac and safari. Today I get up and the browser is gone. When I first put up Safari it has a browser in the upper middle of the page. But once I use it, it is gone.

I sometimes click on things and depend on the browser to see where I am.

I think it must be somewhere here but i don't know where to click to put it back.

Please help.

Jim

    Look in your 'Applications' folder.

To find the Applications folder, click the Finder icon. It's the first icon on the row of icons on the dock. Then find and click the folder named Applications. Look for the Safari logo in that folder - it's a round, blue compass icon. Drag the Safari icon from the Applications folder back down on to the dock. You should then be able to click it and Safari should open.

If Safari isn't in your Applications folder, click the Finder icon on the dock again. In the little search space at the top right of the Finder window, type Safari and hit enter. It will show you where the application is on your computer. Drag Safari back into the Applications folder, then drag the Safari icon onto the dock and click the icon to open Safari.

If you can't find it anywhere, you will need to download it again.

Note: If you click and hold your mouse down on any icon in your dock, and mistakenly drag the icon up into the screen above the dock, the icon will disappear in a 'poof' from the dock. However, the program or application is still in your Applications folder, so you just need to open the Applications folder, find the missing program, and drag the program icon back onto the dock to activate it again.
