Promote using social networks .How to?

Hi all.
One of my main strategies is to use social networks to promote my website by creating a very simple promotion: "Share this to win 100$ in credits on your account".

I was thinking of using a tell a friend script (like Good Karma List Machine Script). But I don't use aweber.

Does anyone know some ways to effectively do this?

    Are you wanting to run a Social Media contest on sites like FaceBook/Twitter/LinkedIn etc, or are you wanting to run a costest from your own website, but want to promote it using Social Media Marketing?

      Good question. I was thinking of posting on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc. to drive traffic to my landing page where users could optin to tell a friend. But I don't know of a good script to allow me the use of my own autoresponder code. I'm also using Wordpress.

      I'm not sure if this is the most effective way of promoting on Social Networks.
      Any suggestions?

    If you've already got a strong Social Media presnence, with responsive fans, then I'd probably go with a Social Media based contest run through FaceBook. You may want to have a chat with Jo Barnes, Seth Larabee, Fernando Cruz, Amy Porterfield, Carol Dodsley or Viv Craske. This is their specific area of experties. They are all contactable via FaceBook and various other hangouts online.
