I got my first subscriber!

I can't describe how happy I am to get my first email on the list. Though I've yet to make any sales, I just feel like sharing my happiness with all warriors here.

Starting an online business turns out to be quite tough for me, considering I have limited amount of financial resources to spend on the business. However, I know that if I'm disciplined enough to write article and post on forums everyday, I will be able to achieve success soon!

So, for all the newbie out there. I know most of you may already well ahead of me. Keep going and I wish you my success. For those who just started out, do not give up!

    Great job Felix! And yes, starting ANY business, whether it be online, or offline requires dedication and hard work. However, it will definitely pay off if you stick to it, and keep trying. Also, you will continuously learn more and more about what works, and what doesn't.

    The only advice I can give to a newbie at this point is to realize that there is NO push button software to make money and anyone who says that they easily make 20K or more a month is usually lying. This forum has all the knowledge, but you are also learning a new language. It will take time.

    Anyway, great job. Keep it up. Just imagine how you will feel when you get your first sale! That's when the motivation really kicks in.

    Many thanks to all of you. Felt that I can do much better with the warm support from warriors here.

    By the way, I'm using a squeeze page and I do give them a free gift in exchange for their emails.

    I'm only using a single opt-in because though double opt-in will give me a higher quality subscribers, I still feel that I want to retain as much emails as possible in the early stage.

    I put off buying an auto-responder for a couple of years.

    Not sure if I could get a subscriber or what I would email. It's bizarre looking back how easy it is to get your first subscriber and realizing that the only way to learn about what to email... is by emailing.

    Well done. It's a big deal and big differentiator.

    haha, nice, your first email subscriber! keep on the good work. I knew my feeling when i had my first sale on clickbank. It was absolutely awsome.

    Remember that you don't need a lot of money, to build a succesfull online business. There are still lots of free traffic on the internet.

    A bit of advice: a tip that can help any marketer in anything they do is to think like a fish. I learnt this a while back...

    If a fisherman thinks like a fisherman, he will never have the upper hand had he learnt how to think like a fish (the prospect) and learn the ocean (environment). If the fisherman actually studies the fish, the patterns, how the water temperature affects them, where they mate etc. he'll always be one step ahead.

    How this translates to marketing is: Do not think like a marketer, think like a prospect...

    ...I know it sounds basic but you would be surprised.

    Once you do become a fish, everything you do will be easier.
