Amazon Sites Not working

By any chance does anyone know if amazon is having a problem with one of their servers? I have several Amazon sites that are not displaying images. I have doubled checked my plug-ins and WordPress and the images still are not displaying. The sites are not new sites, they have been up for a few months.

I tried to add products and I get no products to be found.

    Have you tried using more than one browser? It could be browser related due to an update.

    @ IMSince2003 Sorry did not mean to scare you. I know Amazon has many servers, but it just seems odd that I can not post products and images are missing on my sites. For example here is one of my sites that is not displaying images http://christmas-shopper.com/

      It's a plugin problem. Another reason why I do not use any plugin and post manually on my sites.. ukayukay.net - everything is working fine

        I checked and made sure the plug-in is up to date. I checked a friends site that is using the same plug-in and her images are displaying just fine. I'm using WPZon Builder and they are very good in keeping things updated.

          I checked your source and can't find any amazon link so I am pretty sure it's the plugin. Try picking-up 1 amazon product link and post it in any of your post and check if it is working....

          Plugins are good but when it comes to showing my money links, I do not use any plugin, especially for big sites that I plan to have hundreds to thousands of products. Yes, its a lot of work but posting 2 to 3 articles a day won't hurt, rather than losing the entire site when the plugin malfunctions.

        I really do not think it is a plug-in problem. I'm still thinking it is something with Amazon, although I could be wrong. Could my IP be blocked I wonder?:confused:

    @dadhere Yes I checked in IE and Chrome as my main browser is Firefox and on the other browsers that same thing. No images.

        Yes I'm using WPZon Builder. Yes I uninstalled it and went and got the newest version and updated and still the same thing. What is weird is it is happening on sites I have not been too in a few weeks and on new sites of 2 months old. I had a friend check and she too could not see the images. Could it be a hosting problem? I'm on Host Gator.

    I tried the link (using FF at work) and the pics are not displaying. Check to see if the plugin you're using is compatible with the Wordpress version. Maybe WP updated and the plug hasn't

      Yes very strange, that why I'm wondering if it is something related to Amazon. I have an email sent to them. So all I can do is wait it out and keep checking into different things. Going to contact support for the plug-in too. Just called my host and they found nothing wrong.

    It's not related to Amazon I think. The best thing to do is to pick that product that is not showing in amazon, take a product code and post it manually. If it shows, then there is problem with your website/plugin compatibility...

          Yes it is a plug-in that is well known that allows you to add and post Amazon products. Many people use plug-ins to create Amazon sites.

          This is certainly frustrating. I even followed the instructions on updating in the support area of the plug-in and still the same issue. Guess I will just wait and call Amazon in the morning and see what they say along with a trouble ticket to the plug-in developer.

                    Yes this has me baffled. My sites are on Host Gator, I'm wondering if maybe they did some type of update. I called them, but they said they found nothing. Although support may not be aware of any updates.

            I would re check those API keys because it seems no info is being pulled from Amazon on your latest posts,I would re-enter the API's and secret keys and save it,and then try to add more products to your Queue to see if it's pulling information,also do you have the latest version installed<I think it's version 2.5P now

      This is could be a possibility. I know that when I go to create affiliate links for specific products on the official amazon associates site, if the product is not available to be purchased, no images show up either. Well, nothing shows up, actually...

      It depends on how the plugin that you are using is pulling data from amazon.com....

      When I go to Christmas Home Decor-Christmas Tree Decorations and Outside Christmas Decorations and click on a product link that doesn't have an image, it DOES say that the product is unavailable on YOUR site OP, but when I search for the title on amazon, the product IS available.

      So here is what I'm thinking is happening....

      1) either the plugin is not working correctly and not pulling data the way it is supposed to,

      OR

      2) amazon has moved the product page (which is very likely, this happens all the time) or the product was not available at the time you created the blog post


      I would suggest manually going back in and finding the product on amazon, and then entering the correct asin on the page of your blog that has that product. the plugin should re-pull the data from amazon, and then it should show up with pictures and everything on your blog....

      if your amazon associates account was "throttled" as you call it, why do some pages show images while others do not? It doesn't make sense to me... Your site is not that large....

        I actually received a throttle message when in one of my accounts when trying to post a product. Below is the message I received

        There was a problem with your Amazon API request. This is the error Amazon returned: RequestThrottled: Request from blacklist_A26JKDG9FQ04FJXBW is throttled.

    I have had the same problems, just on some sites with some listings. I too used a plug in.
    But using the plug in on other sites since then, there is no problem.

    I contacted Amazon support and they could not seem to understand what I was talking about. I think it is a glitch in the code they give us, on some items.

    I can't remember what all I tried, but in the end I saved the picture onto my computer and posted it through wordpress. Those are showing up fine. Now I have a bunch more to finish off, whenever I can find the time.

        I agree things worked just fine for me for a long time too. That is why I wonder if they did not change something on the Amazon side and the code we got no longer phoned home.

        You can probably read code better than me. Check your current code next to the new code for that item taken from Amazon today, and see if there are any spaces that should not be or something is different. Please report back on that please.

    There's definitely a glitch somewhere. Could be the plugin or it could be something malformed in the datafeed.

    When I clicked around your site a bit, some items had pictures and some didn't. The ones that didn't were not pulling list prices either.

    I copied the 'more information' link from one item, and it's showing a null link:

    You might also want to try posting on the Wordpress support forum. There are some pretty sharp people there who live and breathe WP, who have helped me out in the past.

    Well, I found my answer. It is coming from Amazon. From what I found out is that the OLD Amazon API shut down and ALL sellers had to move their account over. ***All Amazon sellers must migrate to the MWS Products API before it is shut down on 8/31/2012.** I had no idea this was happening. So since my account was not moved over to the new MSW Products my associate account was throttled by Amazon. Here is more info on it Blacklist | AmazonSimpleAdmin

      Glad to hear you found your answers. That must be quite a relief.

      For me, I have always been an associate and used the Associate's PA-API, not having access to any other.

      So I am still trying to figure out why some of mine is not working. So guess I will contact wp-Amaz-One support and see what they can do to help.

    Just checked.

    Some of the images are showing for me and some are not. The home page seems to be affected the most.

      The issue most likely is you are using a SELLERS API instead of an AFFILIATE API. So this it why the account was throttled. There is a difference. When you signed up to the API originally you likely did it thru an Amazon sellers account not an Affiliate account.

      So they send you the note about migrating but dont tell you how to do it. You cant just switch from a Seller API to an Affiliate API.

      The solution is to open another account with Amazon (which is allowed). Make sure you open it thru your Amazon affiliate account. This will set you up with a new API and set of secret keys. You will need to use a different email address.
