Unethical to Buy a One Time Offer I Found Again?

Hey guys,
I have a moral delimma

I bought an offer two weeks ago (maybe a bit longer), and I was going to buy the OTO...didn't get around to it. I actually saved the OTO page to come back to later.

Then, my computer died

I got my new computer (MacBook Pro, YEAH!) and am trying to salvage some things I bought but didn't back up I found the link to this report I had purchased (in my e-mail), and the OTO popped up again!

Is it unethical to purchase this OTO? What if the person is no longer offering it or something

*Sigh* I really want it...

Oh for the love of everything holy! Buy the OTO. Do you really think the owner is going to be upset about making a sale?

A OTO is really just a sales ploy to create a sense of urgency.Like Bruce said, who in their right mind would get upset by making a sale?

Yeah, it was just one that said it would never be repeated again at this price, blah blah. I realize that it's often a marketing ploy... but this is a respected Warrior and I didn't want to step on any toes if he HAD raised the OTO price.

But, I suppose it is a bit silly to think he'd actually be upset

@Michael, lol TTO it is, a new trend

Yes, definitely! Who in their right mind will reject selling their product (even though it's a OTO) to you?

As Kim pointed out, OTO is just a marketing tactic to get you to buy

If it was really a true OTO then it would not have popped
      up again would it.

Maybe you should be asking the question if it's ethical of them
to state that it's an OTO if it comes up more than once.

There are true OTO scripts that really will only offer it once to
      people.

My guess is that the seller would like it if you purchased.

Who said the page stated that?

If the price had gone up or the offer was expired, they should have taken the page down.

I'm surprised some clown hasn't come into this thread saying "If you have to ask, it's because you KNOW it's unethical" - which usually happens whenever someone asks a question like this.

I've had people buy my WSO or OTO long after I removed the sales page (seems they kept the order button code). Do I mind? Not at all. I'm just impressed by their ingenious methods.

OTO - one time offer BUT where do any of these offers say that THIS is the ONE TIME?

I have about a hundred OTO pages that I visit regularly (to remind myself what was so interesting that I saved it) as far as I can tell, no prices have increased though I have spotted three that have fallen.

OTOs are a stupid invention. They are usually false (dont agrue they are) so they make money so what? Armed robbers also make money, guess that makes it ok.

A real OTO would be made not by a robotic script but made to a definite prospect by name, rank and serial no. If they refused and sent their cousin to buy it then arrest them. See? The whole thing is really dumb. And that people even fall for it makes me speechless.

A WSO and OTO are not the same. A WSO that is still open but forgetten by you is ethical, unless you close it and then they steal your code to buy, which is unethical, but I guess since u dont mind the money its fine.

An OTO is crap anyway so who cares if they steal your code, you're both trying to play it smart I guess you come out on top since you took their money anyway.

Whatever happened to simple "here's an offer that will benefit you" strategies...

OTOs, big launches, all that jazz... bah humbug!

I long for the days when sanity will prevail again (if ever)

    OTO what nonsense.

Thanks dude. Still, when you take something either by cunning or by force it's still unethical. Anyway, if I hurt anyone's sensitivities, it's my bad... was giving an "opinion", I think that's what they're called. As for resurrecting threads, if they didn't want them resurrected I guess they'd be "closed" threads? Anyway opinion shared, 'nuf said. Ciao.

Maybe it's unethical to call it a OTO if it can clearly be found again.

And many times, again and again and again...

      It should be...

"OTO to the newbie and not as technically advanced who don't know how to easily view the OTO again"

But that doesn't sound as good.

I've even seen some people have a page with what they call a OTO with no technology at all. No script at all of any kind...it's just a regular html page that anyone can bookmark and come back to, yet they say OTO.

Makes anyone with any technical knowhow laugh.

I bookmark OTO pages all the time. The seller is just trying to create urgency by calling it that. Would YOU care "when" you made a sale? Or just "that" you made a sale?

    Buy it.

Well, since someone was interested in the 7 month old thread, I suppose it's time for an update

I actually did not purchase the product

I ended up focusing on the plan I was already into at that point, and it paid off. As for feeling like it's unethical...I still feel iffy about it. Sort of like a coupon that's past its expiration. I'm glad some of you think my dilemma was humorous, lol.

    Hey Jenn,

Your purchasing the OTO has nothing to do with being unethical. You sound like a very honest individual that does not take these things lightly. You did not plan to intentionally do anything wrong. This is a matter of circumstance as to how this all came about and as far as ethics it sounds to me like you are a very ethical person just by bringing this to the attention of the forum. Good for you, but there is no problem making this purchase since you have not intentionally plotted to do anything wrong.
