How many ad boxes on a News blog (Google Allows Only Three per Page/Post)

I got my adsense account approved about 4 months ago and ever since publishing Google Ads.
My question to WF are the following:

1. How many ad boxes can you show on your posts (Considering it isn't built on a specific niche)

2. Will Google suspend your account if you publish other publishers' ads (say one or two more ad spaces) In my case, I was approached by Lijit.Com. They said it was OK to show their ads along with Google.

I will appreciate your advice on monetizing a news blog.

Thanks very much for your suggestions!
Well, I really do not want my blog to like a junkyard of Ad boxes. I just want to claim one more ad space

You have to look at your site's theme and determine what looks good, what sells, and what's going to be overkill.
