Can online classifieds generate significant traffic ???

I keep on seeing threads where members of this forum claim they generate "handsom" / "significant" traffic to their websites, using free-online-classifieds, such as Craiglist and its likes...

Can it really work ? How ? I mean, wouldn't they simply shut your account if you keep on advertising your site ? I would have love to hear more about this traffic-generating method...

    You can get traffic, but your ads will get flagged and removed pretty quickly if they suspect you are posting just to drive traffic to your own websites. I'm sure they'll close your account if you do it too much.

    It depends on classified ads.

    craigslist - yes
    trademe.co.nz - yes for NZ and AU
    sulit.com.ph - yes for philippines

    usfreeads.com - no, simply because too many spam..

    I don't depends on classified ads to get traffic. I personally use USFreeAds. Pay about US10 every month. Placed as many ads as possible. I just leave the ads there and focus on other traffic source.

      And how much traffic do you get out of these USFreeAds, if I may ask? Anything that is worth writing home about?

      USFreeAds has been around for a long time. I used them quite a while ago, but only the free version. Then, at some point, they canceled my account because I didn't upgrade.

      I've mainly heard that it's not effective, but some people obviously still use it. Do you make sales with these ads, or mainly use them to build a mailing list?

    I have been using USFreeAds about 5 months. Traffic is not as much as Paid Solo Ads which cost much higher than USFreeAds. The reason I pay for Premium account (US10) USFreeAds because it is not expensive and affordable. I just want to create awareness to my website and products. You will never get into first page unless your website is popular and a lot of backlinks. Feature Ads will bring your ads above premium ads. The cost between US12 to US15 per month depends your member status (Free, Gold or Premium). If your placed your ads in the popular Category. Unlikely your ads at the first page if you pay for Feature Ads.

    We run a classified ads site and we make sure to remove ads with same content. Unique content ads are welcome and we don't remove them unless they go against our terms.

    Post an ad to FeeAdsTime.com in major cities such as Chicago Classifieds, San Diego Classifieds and Los Angeles Classifieds.
