Newbie with tens of thousands emails, how to use

So I have tons of 'general' emails but they are not optin. I also have niche lists that I got through other means that can be used to market niche products. I have been reading through the information on warrior forum. It is alot for sure. Please help me with the steps.

1. Do I use the list for an email marketing campaign with a new affiliate program I signed up for? I've tested out 4000 of the emails already and the open rate is low because the people dont know who I am. I used list wire.

What is the best way to use this massive list?

2. I have a blog. How can I use the list to help my blog.

3. What are the steps once you have a list?

On a separate note. Ive seen that alot of people recommend aweber or get response over mail chimp. Couldnt I use mail chimp just to build a list on my blog and then switch to aweber once I am ready to start marketing to that list.

This list is useless . First if you send any email it will be considered spam and second you will not get results as the list is untargetted. You can use mailchimp but they hate affiliates.

Your 'general' email lists are worthless as they have not opted in. As such anything you send to them is spam.

It's hard, but if you want to build credibility in this business then you start by building an ETHICAL list, and not try to feed off the UNETHICAL scraps you've garnered elsewhere.

Step 1- Delete said email lists and start building your own double-optin list in your niche.

Step 2- Re-read my post and the two above.

    Hi,

I think the email list you have is simply useless.

The list is useful if it is a targeted list.

Build your own list. It will be useful.

    Hi there,

What's already been said is true...but here goes...
    1. Send en email offering a free gift on your blog site. If they take you up, then they go on your list legitimately. Or, direct them to your blog so that they can buy into you anyway.
    2. Sign up to Aweber now. It will give you credibility and will save you time later when you have to swap....(and you will!).
    3. OR, bulk import them into Aweber and send them an email with a free gift of high perception as an incentive.

Regrettably, noting the nature of the lists, it is a bit 'hit and hope'...

However, as Rudyard Kipling said "gardens are not made in the shade"...so go for it anyway!

    Llwyddiant!

I agree with others. This list has absolutely no value.
