No, but it is a good social indicator that a site is active and popular.

    .
Ever notice that people who spend money on WSO, memberships and courses, are always complaining about being broke and not making any money ?

They should have bought ASSETS instead.

If the blog is a DO FOLLOW blog AND the comment is the only one on the page, you get page juice. If there are way too many other comments with links on the page, you don't get as much love from that page.

Interesting how people can read the same question differently and hence give you diametrically opposed answers - both correct

The OP isn't asking about how to get linkjuice by blog commenting. He's asking whether allowing comments on his own pages will increase the page ranks of his own pages.

That depends on if the comment is real or not.

You'll find that a lot of spam bots just randomly comment on your content and I don't think that's a good thing since they usually do this and leave a few links lying around in their comments.

The relevant comments (right keywords and no SPAM) do increase the Google trust (not PR) of your site. They make your site look popular for search engines which is a very important thing for Panda.

If do follow yes it can increase your site's PR. But blog commenting is more about getting direct traffic. A successful blog comment is something that you contributed based from your knowledge and expertise. If readers like what you commented, they will visit your website and perhaps subscribe to your post.

Good content and proper inter-linking between pages/posts increase PR, among other things, but that's the main part of it.

Hmm not directly I don't think.. I'm unsure.. but if that very page is also shared by those who comment on your blog page - which in turn gives you a good number of visits etc etc many other factors taken into consideration - then yes the PR of that very page can go up.

If the page has little outbound links and has good Page Rank on the actual page, I would estimate it will pass on some link juice to you.

Personally I don't believe with Page Rank factors but to answer your question I could say that it could affect the increase of your page rank especially if the link is a do follow as this passes link juice to your site that affects your page rank.
