Bit of a unique case here

Hello everyone, I'm new here..

I'll start of by saying i don't have desires for great riches and wealth, but my primary goal is to great a guaranteed income of £10 a day. I serve full time in the British Army, so i don't have a hell of a lot of time to play around with my computer. Except at weekends and holidays.

I'm quite a unique case here, I'm very computer literate having delved into all kinds of programming technologies since i was little, however the whole thing of blogging and every aspect of web management has always eluded me and quite frankly bored me in the past. Simply put - I could write a low-level device driver in asm/c++ but finding a simple and efficient way to upload adsense compatible content onto the web escapes me

I bought 10 domains last year, however the vastness and complexity of the go-daddy control panels seriously confused me and i lost interest quick! I couldn't even get wordpress to upload and work i've got a good working knowledge of adsense and i make a little already though youtube videos.

Bottom line:

I want a good method to start off, small and simple with a single microniche or blog to gradually learn the methods over the space of the year.. and if i end up making around £10 a day, i'll be happy

What would you suggest?

If adsense is your goal, you should learn wordpress. Once you get the hang of it you will find it quite easy.. In fact if you use Hostgator or someone like that for your hosting, alot of them allow you to install wordpress in a single click, so you don't have to worry about uploading the files yourself via FTP and configuring everything.

Otherwise, you can get someone on Fiverr to install it for you. I made a list of useful Fiverr gigs which might be of use, some of them include having software like wordpress installed on your server.

Once the site is up, you can post content.. I would do research on keywords and how to attract readers via writing good solid, helpful content on a topic people really are searching for.

If you are looking to take all of the work out of it however, you can find sites on Flippa which have verified Adsense earnings... 10 per day, equating to about 300 a month, is not unreasonable.. You might pay a high price for it, but if you are confident that the site will maintain and possibly even grow it's earnings, it might be a worth while passive income investment.

    Good luck with it!

Hostgator and BlueHost are the best and Godaddy is the worst (my personal experience)

Bluehost is the simplest to use if you were to create websites on WordPress, Joomla and Drupal. It installs on one click and you do not have to worry about creating server files manually.
As far as blogging for adsense is concerned, I think you can begin by creating a simple blog (plenty of tutorials are available for free on YouTube)
Just go ahead and set your domains live

    Thanks everyone..

One final thing. Do Adsense earnings tend to average out day to day when dealing with web content~?

In my experiences with youtube, somedays i'll have a normal day, some days very good and some days i'll earn 80p

Adsense (or ad cents) days always average out to whatever their average is

That's normal. If you rate the days in your personal life from good to bad, they likely go from one end to the other. There has to be that kind of fluctuation in this stuff. You don't get the scheduled pay of a 9 to 5 job.

The hardest part about your case is LONG-SUFFERING...can you suffer not making money, but working hard for hours per day, until you get that first $100 paycheck from Google...then two months later, lose everything that was in your account?

I'm definitely not trying to burst your bubble, but its happened to me and MANY others.

Now, I'm not saying that AdSense is a bad idea...However, I'm saying that you're going to need some fortitude if you are starting from scratch.

Personally, I like one of the other ideas where the guy suggested that you buy a few sites that are making a couple of dollars per day. I think it would be cheaper for you to do that in the long run. Plus, if you were to get the unfortunate "AdSense Disabled" email, you could move on to other monetization methods without too much of a hitch.

Just a few things to think about...
