Hey Warriors! Typing on iPad excuse the errors, my names Eric, nice to met everyone, I've been reading your comments, discussions, questions, answers, offers etc for months. This is not sales related, but a discussionand talk, PLEASE READ.

First off, thanks for all your contributions regardless of intentions. All of your posts, comments, and questions are great reads. I wish I had the time to contribute more, but I read A LOT!!so THANKYOU!!!!!

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!! I need advice from my mentors, YOU GUYS&GALS...I also welcome links to other discussions, in case I missed it.... but I'm not interested in any programs, ebooks, etc. I'm an experienced marketer/professional with an MBA, years of experience, and developing as an online marketer, web developer, online business owner, etc.

Here's the deal........... I'm going to eliminate all emotion and fluff/bs, with respect to your time and mine. Hopefully this will spark more discussion if it's an easy read

I have 8 years resume worthy work experience
2 years online marketing research, practical application, testing, lots and lots of studying

Please read!! Comment, discuss, ask me for more info!

Launched Marketinc Solutions in Jan. 2012
I also work full time at local community bank, good salary.(they know I have side online business)
Huge tony Robbins fan, The Secret, Think and Grow Rich, 7Habits...... All day at work on audio books with headphones, or listening to webinars, reading WForum, etc. my bank job is not stressful, and I live a block away so I usually take LONG lunches

how do you launch a succesfull online business, or any business for that matter, while maintaining a full time job???

I feel like its just a excuse for not scaling up operations, but I feel I just can not get over the hump needed to take my business to the next level.

Not enough hours in the day, and my part-time ventures haven't made enough to replace a full-time income

I'd love to outsource, but that's not the problem....... My problem is, I target businesses but work full time business hours? I've been fairly strategic so far...

I already know one thing I need to do is narrow down my product and services offering. I'm a 2-3 man shop, so hours are limited, manpower is limited, resources are limited......... I "offer" a lot of services, but I don't PUSH every service.

#2 I need to start cold calling. But I'm waiting until I have my unique product offering (local website&App. FIRST ONE WITH ALL MY BELLS & WHISTLES)

Do you think I think I'm on the right path????...... I sometimes doubt my plan, until it fruitates.

What's your advice.... Like I said, I have a full time job, with FULL time Part-time endeavors. I don't want to outsource every aspect of my business. But I do need help. My partner is also a part time partner who is only paid for Commisions he brings in, he's job is more IT related and he is bi-lingual Spanish

I'd love to go on and on with details, I'd like to see if anyone even cares to comment.

    Hi Eric,

Sounds like the business you are tying to create is a full-time biz itself.
Your offering a ton of stuff for your business but from the sound of things, it's a one man show.
It sounds like your currently trying to do too much for what little time you have. Outsourcing can be done. But its better to have first hand experience before handing it off to someone else.

Based on what you have written, you have spent a ton of time developing the appearance and quality of the products and revenue streams. This is good. But it doesn't mean a thing if you dont have any clients or customers. Also, it sounds like you have made it a little complex. But your on an iPad so there may be things missing that ill wait for you to explain.

How much success have you had online?
You can know a lot, but it dont mean squat without action.
The phrase "knowledge is power," is a little backwards for me.
I like to term it. "knowledge is nothing without action"

Go ahead and tune things down a bit. Start small and have some success with that. Currently there seems to be no way to launch without loosing: sleep, sanity, or extra money from outsourcing/ads.

I say that because you sound exactly like me when I first started. I consumed so much in terms of marketing content. That i never deployed any of it.

I tried starting a business very similar to yours. in fact, i think you might be using the same provider i was using. since if offers all of the same services. but anyway.
I spent so much time on the details, making sure that the product was perfect and could make me the most profit from certain strategies and keywords, that I didnt spend any time on getting customers to make money. 100% of my efforts where on consuming information and working on the product.

In fact, it was a way of procrastinating. I wanted something to end my money problems first go round. I didnt want to fail at it either. So i didn't try to get people.

So instead of spending your time on improving your business and you. Spend it on getting business. Granted this is hard when you are working full time at another job.

Get it in front of people. Even if its ugly.

Improve it when there a signs of something being wrong!

You have a good job so you have income.

In online marketing it does take money to make money.
And that only holds true if you are spending it wisely.

The thing that everyone has a problem with is traffic.

The good news is that you dont have to do all the hard work yourself.

Spend some money on SEO and get traffic from the search engines.
Get PPC and have your campaigns make successful returns for you.
Team up with another online person that has complementary services to yours.
and refer clients to each other.
Find affiliates to sell your products for you.

Get someone to critique your site to improve it.

In any kind of business. your reputation is your #1 priority. If that becomes shot
then you have a dead business. But dont freak out if you ever had a client that complains to you.
Seek to resolve the matter and then over deliver. So that means having a quality service.

If you have a good service that has good quality to it. People wont care what your product looks like.

But hey even if that reputation does become shot. Start over with a new name. Its the internet. A world of unlimited possibilities.

When you see results and start to see something that can be improved. Improve it then!

Sooo long story short. Focus on one thing. Bring in customers. Improve on that. Scale. then expand.
