Submit articles with or without Links?

Hello, my name is Joel Moses. I am new to IM. I have been flowing the Warrior Forums for a couple months or so now, but this is my first post. I have really liked what I have seen. This seems like good people helping out good people. I am sure I will get a lot of good info out of these forums and hopefully be able to give back as well.

I am trying to help my dad market his product websites to a greater audience. We are going to do some article marketing first. I just need to get a better grasp of how article marketing works.

My first question:

I read somewhere recently that it is best when submitting articles to leave out the affiliate links or adsense until after you get your article submitted and approved by a good amount of directories (they said it should take about 2 months). The reasoning behind this is that the people who are approving the submissions will be more likely to put your article in their directory without the links. Is this a valid point?

    Ok here is the deal about article marketing.

    It does not matter how many times or how long you have been submitting articles, no affiliate links are allowed. (Well for most of the top directories)

    You said you want to help your father market is product so he should already have a website. correct?

    Now when you are writing your articles, you will be provided with a resource box (author bio) and this is where you will advertise your website. You will be allowed to place at least to urls in there.

    So whatever your product or service maybe you can post a link and refer your article readers to your website.

      Thank you for the info. Yes my father has websites up and running. We won't be doing affiliate links through comission junction. The links will be straight from the articles to the product site, but it sounds like this will not make a difference. Then I should keep all my links in the bio section I guess.

        If the links are going to your site, they shouldn't be considered affiliate links, so you shouldn't have a problem. Just remember to create a strong bio. Sell the product, not yourself

        Yes, Ron is right. If you are linking to your own sites, that's ok. Most just don't accept direct linking to affiliate sites. Remember to use anchor texts in your links whenever possible. Keep it to 2 links per article and you will do find in most dirs. E.g. 1 link with anchor texts, 1 link with domain name or URL.

            That depends on the article directory your submitting ti. Some allow links in the body and some don't.

            Take a look at their terms to figure out what they allow and what they don't.

            They should all allow a resource box so if you do nothing else you can put the links in there.

      It may be a problem for some but not all.

      My recommendation is that you rewrite them to make them unique. The thing with plr articles is that everybody and their grand mother have them. Rewriting your will make you stand out from all the others.

      Pu your own twist to it and you will have a better response.

    In my opinion, your wasting your time if you submit articles with no links, after all the main purpose of spending the time is to get traffic/buyers, ect. Of course, as mentioned affiliate links are usually not welcome, but you should have your own site.

    I can understand what your saying, but seems a waste to me. Like working a job for no pay
