Aweber - people stuck at confirmation email????

I don't have many subscribers but there are 4 of them stuck at the confirmation and haven't moved on. What does that mean? Why would they enter their email but not confirm? When I tested one time, an email did go to my spam so I'm also worried about that. Any advice? Thanks!

Maybe they haven't gotten around to confirming yet... or maybe they even changed their minds. It happens

Other possibilities are that they never received their confirmation email in the first place; or the email found its way to their junk/spam folder. Again, it happens.

I think Aweber allows you to resend the confirmation email. You can resend it if you like; but I wouldn't even bother. It defeats the whole purpose of "hands off" automation

Maybe they are just not confirming I would make sure you have the video confirm on in the settings so your subs are not missing anything if they want your free offer they will subscribe

Or they could be getting a duplicate email address but its probably highly unlikely

You will always have a portion of your list that never confirms their email. It's normal.

    Possible reasons for this include:

    1) They never received the confirmation email. An example of this is Aweber has deliverability issues with Yahoo email addresses and those subscribers often never get the confirmation email therefore they can never confirm their email address. There is not much you can do about this.

    2) They entered a fake email address in your optin form hoping to get access to the free download on the next page. You can help prevent this by making it clear on the squeeze page that the download will be sent to their email address. Thus people are more likely to enter a real email address.

    3) They did not know how to confirm. Yes, we are more than used to confirming email addresses but a lot of people out there have not done it before so you need to show them exactly what to do. The best way to achieve this is to send them to a page after they optin that has a video or text/image description of exactly how they confirm their email address.

You will never totally eliminate this problem but those steps above will certainly help.

Had that happen a few times. Some confirm later, others never do.

My solution was to make the offer so inviting that they make a real effort to come back and confirm, if it doesn't work first time around.
