Could somebody PLEASE KICK my ASS? (Guess I really need that)

Hey Warriors.

I need a kick in my ass. It's not that I'm generally masochistic ... but I think it can help from time to time.

My situation: started building a news website 6 months ago, getting about 400 visitors a day, have build a list of 700 people so far (starting 2 months ago) with a free ebook that has gotten good feedback from the readers so far.

Earnings: 0.00 €.

Why: no product to sell, no advertising. (I'd prefer the own-product-way).

Why, 2nd: feel like it's to soon to earn money with the site. (Although I know that this is a BS mindset.)

Why, 3rd: I'd really invest a lot of time creating a great product. But with this kind of traffic I've right now, that would propably bring not that much money in.

Would really appreciate your help.

    It is never too soon to make money from your website.

    And, if you are ready to start earning now, then try Adsense, Amazon Affiliate Program, CPA offers like those found at NeverBlue.com, and other affiliate offers, just so that you can have a BUY button somewhere on your site.

    It is never too soon or too late to start, and you will never sell anything until you offer something of value to your audience.

      Have you set up a sales funnel? You might be attracting freebie seekers (like a lot of us do). Omar Martin has just released a product called Buzzinar that deals specifically with sales funnels. Although you might have a growing number of subscribers, are they the right ones for your business? Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

    Start inserting Adsense ads in key positions, then put in an autoresponder optin form for your customers. In this way you will start getting some cash on their clicks, and to grow your list to send targeted offers and free items.

    When you see this method works, try to integrate some reviews of Amazon products, and continue on this way, offering always targeted contents to your visitors.
    400/700 visitors a day are a lot, and if you convert just 1 of them your earning can grow each and every day!

    I've integrated an Adsense-box now - the first step towards monetarization!

    Will put another box in with Amazon stuff.

    Maybe it will only bring in a few € a month - but you're right ... I've created this site for earning money, so this is what the site should do right now.

    Why don't you find warriors that have product that will help your website, start a JV with them by recommending the product on your website, that way you can more money.

      Are you regularly emailing this list? Do you even know what kind of product they want or what you'd be selling them?

      Do you know what pages are getting the most traffic on your site?

        Hi Jill, thanks for your answer!

        I'm mailing to the list on a regular basis. And I'm digging into what the subscribers want by asking them what they want in the first email (responserate for that is about 10%, don't know wether this is good or not).

        How would you proceed?

    Dude you have done considerably well for the time you have been doing this; several people struggle to even get people on their list. You have a list of 700 people there, I would recommend using that to push through a sales funnel.

    When people are opting into your website, are u sending them anything? ebook? upsells? etc. There are golden opportunties in which you can sell this way; and by the sounds of it you have enough traffic to do this frequently.

    I would recommend maybe looking into Alex Jeffreys WSO, it's here on the warrior forum and is currently stupid cheap; he talks you through how to set up a sales funnel - that is what u need to sky rocket your business.
    If you want to push yourself to the next level, getting a coach to take you step by step can help you in a massive way.

    400 visitors daily is pretty good. Sell advertising space on your website.
