My Amazon earnings after 2 months on one website.

So after two months this is what my earning from september look like so far, this is only on one website. I have only posted around 12 reviews at the moment because of limited time and stuff, but hopefully once I start creating a free more review I should be able to get the authority status that I want for my website.

I;m aiming toward 50 reviews for this website before I move onto a new one, hopefully my earnings will increase by then.

I have recently brought wolfmmiii's blueprint review system and planning to use it for my latest reviews, hopefully should save some time with that.

I just posted here for a little bit of encouragement for all those newbies out there and show that it can be done.

Just look for low comp keyword and stuff that you may enjoy writing about. I think people tend to overcomplicate things with SEO and backlinks, just write good content and let the traffic come to you.

any advice would be much appriciated

Thanks

+ just like to say i am from the UK and amazon is working great for me so far

Nice. Good work, OP. But how can I find anything on Amazon that I will ENJOY writing about?

I suggest making a list of niches/topics that interest you and then identifying products that fit those topics/niches. Once you have a list of products, find the low competition ones and promote them.

Congratulations on your success. I don't totally agree with your statement though "just write good content and let the traffic come to you".

It's our job to market the content we write. Just writing and waiting for things to happen is not a viable business strategy.

It's certainly been viable for me and many, many others. When you target low competition stuff, it become very, very viable.

With the site already getting traffic, building it up to 50 pages should bring in significant income for you.

Make sure you put all the reviews into keyword-rich categories and subcategories to help with SEO.

    Macman,

You've obviously found what works for you. Now stick to what's working, tweaking and increase conversions. Don't stop and move on to something else. Only when you've got this system working like clock work, should you think about moving to another niche, system etc..

    Well done!

That's only about £1.30/day over 2 months. Doesn't seem crazy. The UK market is less saturated also.

I love it. People were like, "Say Whaaaat?" when I first started promoting this strategy. It's nice to see folks like you succeeding with it. The number of success stories make it apparent that this is a solid strategy.

Maybe, just maybe, I do know a little bit about marketing on the interwebs.

How long did it take for your keywords to reach page 1 on Google? I've heard the UK market is less competitive than US.. The main problem is the cap of £7 per product.

If you understand the niche/field you are in, you don't have to own the products to review them. What I do is approach the products from a reporter's point of view. I explain the products' features and compare them to one another. I get lots of return visits so my readers clearly enjoy the content.

Congratulations, it is exciting to start making money with any new endeavor.

Tip -Find new products that cost more to review and you will make more. It takes the same amount of time to write for pennies per item as it does a number of dollars per item, when it comes to Amazon.

I just wanted to caution you on showing or telling exactly what you are selling on forums. Certain people will now make sites and be in competition with you.

I did that one time and was drowned out of a niche no one else was selling at the time, years ago.

Ya, better watch that - not everyone here is conscientious enough to ignore those products in your screenshot, LOL!

For future reference, it's easy to blot out the particulars (products, account numbers, etc.) with any graphics program, and that will protect your interests

I pick a niche which has lots of products. For example Mountain Bikes and within that I would find particular bikes that have low comp and write reviews about them, Also I would pick a domain name which is catchy and not an exact match to the niche.

Great work... Amazon is one of the most sure fire ways to earn consistent money, after you've put in the work and choose the right product of course.

You're off to a great start... my 2c

        1. Don't spread yourself too thin... you'll have an urge to create a load of these sites... you're better off pooling your resources into a few Authority sites, and dominating your particular niche.

        2. No mention of video... just reviews... are you using video reviews? If not, you're really missing out... higher conversions, lower page bounce rates... not to mention all that organic traffic, mainly from Youtube.

        3. Make sure you're following all Amazon's TOS to the letter... you have solid privacy policy in place?

        4. I'm not from the US, but have found much better conversions with Amazon.com... plus Amazon.co.uk cap their commissions lower, 5% I think... You should be looking at the US market... also, if you'd rather be paid by paypal, you can look at skimlinks or viglink... yes, they take a 25% cut... but, you're commissions start at 8.5% with them, so you actually get 6.375... which is about what you'll expect to get anyway... unless you're shifting tons of products... I prefer to concentrate on high end, expensive items myself.

Also... remember lots of products are seasonal... so, you should factor this in when choosing and marketing products.

        Best of luck!

Of course, you can use them all... but you'll get best results with Amazon.com.

You'll be paid by cheque, unless you open a US bank account... most Amazon Associates don't have any trouble lodging US cheques, but I'm in China, and my bank does... I go through Skimlinks myself... plus my money goes straight to my paypal account.

The good thing is, there's no tax issues if you're outside the US... they just send you a cheque!

You'll need to sign up for a new account.

Skimlinks covers paypal fees for UK and US, and Viglink covers all paypal fees.

Not for everyone, but for me it's the best option, as I can't lodge checks where I'm living.

As I mentioned before, I concentrate on high end products, so, my commisions were usually under 7%... so, I'm really only loosing out on .7%... which is fine by me if I can get payment direct to my paypal.

If you're shifting over 3,000 products a month, are on 8.5% commission, and can lodge cheques or are in the US, then, skimlinks or viglink is obviouslly not the best option.

I did lodge Amazon.com $ cheques in My Irish account in the past, and got stung for exchange rate fees... but maybe that's just crappy Irish banks.

Really a country the size of China doesn't allow you to cash a US check?

Have you considered Payoneer? There are fees for withdrawing from an ATM plus a transfer fee, so I don't use it but it may workout more cost effective in your circumstances.

Yep, I can't fully blame Bank Of China though... Amazon's Cheques only say "Dollar" not "US Dollar"... this confuses them, as it could be Australian, or Singapore to them... even though there's a US address on the Cheque, and of course, most of them have no idea what Amazon is... It's all Taobao here

I looked into payoneer, looked like a good way to go... but it's a very drawn out process, and you need a very active outsourcing account, like freelancer etc... which I don't use very much.

I've been talking to Skimlinks again, and they say Amazon is a preffered partner, and I "can" earn 8%.... that sounds a bit vague... but, I'll report back when they've cleared this up... not sure if this is before or after their cut... and what exactly "can" means...

I am suprised to hear so many people have had more success with Amazon.com - I find Amazon.co.uk conversion rates to be much better.

Currently the following happens on my sites:

    Amazon UK
    50 Clicks = 6-14% conversion rate

    Amazon Us
50 Clicks = Lucky to get 1 sale...

I have more clicks but just as a ratio...

One of several success stories for wolf's amazon system.

It took me a while to tweak the theme and find my niche but I'm almost all set to start my own amazon using wolf's system.

There's one part of the setup I need clarification so I hope wolf can get to my email asap so I can go ahead and get started.

Hope I can replicate the success of the other warriors using this system.

It's amazing how easy things can be. I'm glad my strategy is working for you. For some, the concept can be hard to grasp because it's been drilled into their heads:

"minimum of x searches per month"
        "must use EMD"
        "backlinks, backlinks, backlinks"
        etc.....

When you utilize the strategy that you are following, none of that matters.

        Good job!

Awesome work! The interesting thing is that although this took you 2 months for 12 reviews because of other commitments. So if you could manage to do 2 reviews a day - you could generate that sort of income in less than a week. Once you do 10 of these sites it is pretty good going!

I try to do 1-2 per day for each of my sites. What you will notice once you start doing one or two per day is that your reviews will index (and even rank) literally within minutes (even seconds) because the spiders will be active on your site.

Do you imagine that this will work the same way with a forum and a forum blog? I intend to get 4-5 sports articles ranked per day. Pinged around a twitter and facebook account, shared by members and posted on other forums and places like Reddit and so on. Im hoping to rank them and get as much traffic as quickly as possible.

This is great man thanks for posting its truly motivating. I have the bar pretty low for what i need financially as far as success so I know I could get to where I want to be soon. If I could get at least 3k a month off this method I could literally quit my job. I have started a site also and due to work and stuff I am only on my 3rd review right now but I am trying to at least pump out one a day. Sticking to low comp products where the page is not optimized for my review keyword and theres a bunch of wack blogs and amazon listing and stuff. I am doing my best to keep my head to the dirt and just work and determined not to let shiny object syndrome itch at me cuz I am tired from jumping from one thing to the next. I bought wolfs blueprint telling myself I am going to stick this one and get results, no more B.S.'in around.
