Squeeze Page Help please!!

I have a problem that I really need help with ... I have a HTML squeeze page already made, I already have my website set up with a theme I don't really want to change (graphene) but I don't know how to get my squeeze page to work (when someone leaves my site it pops up) I am sure that everyone is going to recommend optimize press (because they always seem to when it comes to squeeze pages lol) but I don't really want to spend $100 on it. Anyone have any suggestions or help?

Thanks in advance!!

Just upload your html squeeze page to your site...

Then use an exit pop plugin to redirect them to the html squeeze page when leaving...

The url would be something like "yoursite.com/squeezepage.html

I have tried that and maybe I am just an idiot lol but the squeeze page I have made is www.yoursite.com/freegift but my squeeze page is a full page so when I put it in a exit pop up plug in only half shows up

Okay - so then you have two options to fix that...

1.) use a different plugin (I use both DigiListBuilder and ListFarmer)

2.) resize the squeeze page to fit within the smaller dimensions

What exit pop-pop script are you using? A small box with a form will work better than a full page, you need to remember that usually people are leaving your site because they don't like the content, so these can annoy them even more.

If you already have blogs then put the form into the sidebar and at the bottom of every post using something like the WWSGD plugin.

Just make sure that you give your readers a great reason to join your list.

I don't condone these practices because I know a lot of people find it irritating. I'm among them.

    But if you're sure...

First of all, I assume this is your squeeze page?

I think you'd be better served by an exit redirect (full page, same window/tab) than by an exit popup - especially seeing as though most popups seem to be blocked by default in most browsers, these days.

Take a look at this post for info on how to perform a basic exit redirect. And don't shoot me if it doesn't work right. I'm sure there's a bit of extra JavaScript you can add to customise the message that appears in the yes/no dialogue, too.

To be fair, if you're willing to swap out your squeeze page, I think you'd do better with a smaller and simpler in-page popup/overlay coloured and styled in a way that's consistent with the rest of your site.

Wow thanks for the info thats great!! I don't even want to know how you found my squeeze page lol ... not gonna lie but that freaked me out a little haha.

Ya actually I like your idea alot better with the redirect and I am definately going to look into that way instead.

      Thanks alot!!
